There is quite a bit to see in that area if you aren't picky about what you want to see. The F-35s are in South Carolina though.

If you want to see a manly plane flying, you gotta go a lot farther than 1.5 hours.

The East Coast bases for the F-35s are Pax River in Maryland, where they're still doing certification work, and MCAS Beaufort in South Carolina. That's where most of the foreign B model operators are training, along with the Marine initial pilot training.

No more Fairford hopefully. Lots of airspace issues with France and Turkey. Go figure.

Those guys love to show their jets off. They hardly ever make it away from their home station.

One evening, SLAYER1 landed at Dyess, after declaring an emergency. Turns out it was tail 110. Her sister, 109, was still sitting in a hangar in Midland Tuesday when we went by, after landing there on fire May 1st.

an AN-124 caught me off guard yesterday here in Pittsburgh( less than 2000 feet above the house ). Left here for Columbus Ohio around 1am then onto Everett Washington. Should be there by now.

They're going up there regularly. They take 787 engines and parts up to Boeing.

Has Fairford officially stopped supporting US aircraft now?
