I had to get involved, when I saw the chainsaw post. I collect chainsaws; Remington brand, specifically. I am a former websleuths, reddit and facebook user. I quit websleuths about a year and a half back, and the other two earlier this year. Too many unneeded arguments and trolls on those sites.

I reside in the modest Midwest. I drove truck nationwide for twenty years, mostly from the Midwest to the West and South. I no longer have a CDL and just buy/sell and do small engine work via Craigslist/Ebay. I won't be posting political/ethics/beliefs type stuff. I have a few favorite members, and look forward to being able to star and flag them. I have very limited computer skills, and don't have a smartphone. I love my wife, adult kids and grandkids.

Welcome to ATS. Remington make chainsaws? Do they shoot bullets as well as cut wood?

I live in Holland. Very few trees here, I blame the bullet chainsaws.

Remington made excellent saws in the 60's and 70's. They are Chinese garbage now. Highly NOT recommended.

I wasn't trolling, just surprised that a company known for arms manufacturing made chainsaws. I know very little about chainsaws. Or guns for that matter.

That made me snicker. Websleuths and reddit have way too many trolls for my tastes. A troll free forum is wishful thinking, but the troll count here seems tolerable. They mostly stick to the hot topic stuff that I avoid.
