Obama said in 2008 "Both parties have monkeyed around." Guess he must be a racist.

How does recognizing racism, make one racist?

Because it is not racist to use a phrase that even DEMOCRATS use...

BTW, are you claiming Obama is a racist? Are you claiming Feinstein and Schumer are racists for using the "monkey" phrase?... Or do you select who is and isn't a racist based on their "political affiliations"?...

Yeah "context, Desantis was talking about "monkey it up by choosing SOCIALISM"... He wasn't referring to Gillum, who quickly tried to make this about "racism..."

"The last thing we need to do is to monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases, and bankrupting the state..."

Keep trying to use the racist card, it's all people like you can do...

Because the left keeps using lies to try to get far left-wingers who want socialism elected. Because i was born and raised in a country, Cuba, which to this day has a socialist economy and a communist government. Because there are millions of Americans and legal residents like myself who don't want to see the U.S. turned into yet another socialist, or even communist nightmare... That's why I care...

The left is doing what the right does and vice versa. It is a cycle that is getting old.
You do not have to worry about communism here in America, never gonna happen.
As for socialism prolly won't happen anytime soon, but is 100 years when our country has money up the wahzoo thanks to space mining and other space economy stuff, I say why not. I wont see it but it may be the right time to take care of everyone by then.
It will all work out in the end... smart people won't let anything to bad happen... I hope.

Is the monkey an animal commonly used to denigrate socialism? I’ve never heard that before.

Be sure and put the other new thread tonight, 'Obama used the monkey around term', to rest, I mean just kill it, before pushing on too hard much further in this one. Friendly advise.

There’s another new thread about this same topic I’m a part of? Huh?

Yeah Detroit isn’t exactly rural Kentucky. I seriously doubt we have the same experiences when it comes to seeing and recognizing racism. Obviously.

So again, was Feinstein trying to denigrade black people by saying: "No one has ever been allowed to monkey around with our electoral system."
www.politico.com...

Was Schumer trying to denigrade black people by saying: "Donald Trump threw a monkey wrench with the wall."
www.nytimes.com...

And some other ways "monkey" is used as an expression that has nothing to do with racism...

9 monkey phrases and their meanings

Monkeys have it tough in the English language. Generally speaking, being called a monkey (or invoking one) does not bode well. While silliness is certainly the most common connotation, association with a monkey can also mean foolishness, aggravation, environmental terrorism, and cold. Here are nine examples of monkey language:

Well, to be correct Desantis was referring to "embracing socialism" as "we shouldn't monkey it up." But like always, even though DEMOCRATS and including black people like Obama have used the expression by using the word "monkey", the left ALWAYS has to play the race card when conservatives dare use a phrase that DEMOCRATS also use...

Go look up the history of Ford & racism.

Go Look up "White Flight".

Go look up the Detroit 60's riots.

Go look up the racial demographics of Wayne County (Detroit) versus Oakland County.

Moving to Florida from there, I was beside myself in contemplating how it could be any more endemic racism abounding... and then it took over 6 months to hear the first racial term used (despite working on huge construction sites).

In Metro Detroit, (GD near) everybody of every racial type throws around racial terms like othe rpeople say "bitch" or "asshole". In fact its so well stewed that the words are typically directed at their buddies of their own race, instead of 'who they're even for', to such a degree they have almost no meaning.

I’m still just trying to figure out how being able to recognize racism when I see it, makes me a racist..

I mean, if you’re able to recognize someone being a SJW, that must mean you’re secretly a SJW. Right?

I always knew you were a secret leftist

But, Obama didn't suggest that electing a man, who happens to be black, would "monkey it up".

No, but as with all leftist, you're trying to conflate the two and create a connection.

I think that's what the OP is doing.

First time accused of being a leftist by a leftist. During the "0 Decade" (Dubya years) I was labeled daily a liberal etc. Then came Obama and overnight I became a "conservative". This one is for the annals, annals I say!

To "throw a monkey wrench" into the machinery isn't the same as "monkey it up". A monkey wrench is a tool, and the suggestion is its misuse, to jam machinery, which is probably what the man meant to say. Where as to "monkey it up" attributes the misuse of government authority to dumb animals, which comes across more as some kind of subconscious slip. I

I've said stupid stuff before, stuff that just came out wrong, mostly because I was nervous, so I give this guy, without knowing anything about him, a "Mulligan".
