23 shot in Chicago since Friday evening

At least 23 people have been shot in Chicago — two of them fatally — since Friday evening.

The most violent period this weekend was Friday night, when two were killed and eights others were wounded between 5 p.m. and midnight. Shootings on Saturday wounded five people over 24 hours.

And there'll be the requisite call by the left for gun control based on this shooting of four people. This may or may not be the reason. However, I feel it is more indicative of fact it's Chicago and it has become such a normal situation that it isn't reported as much.

Sad that it has been on goign for years in Chicago, and at this point in time it may never change.

So, maybe its the consumers of the product you have an issue with, rather than the "MSM" themselves.

ads on. Capitalism....news is just another product and why try and sell what nobody wants. Ultimately it's the bean counters that determine the programming.

That was my thought upon seeing the headline of this thread. It's usually best to wait until Monday morning, when the final tally arrives. Bodies lay in alleys and fields, undiscovered until the morning light.

The weekend that 72 were shot (August 3/4/5) has yielded ONLY ONE ARREST.

The Democrats who run Chicago really don't give a damn about minorities. They really don't....

Chicago now has at least 30,000 cameras, with most in the high-crime neighborhoods. As this article says, the police can see the acne on a drive-by shooters face, from a block away. The license plate, even further. Flashes and heat from the gun barrell are detected too.

But, as I say every time one of these threads pop up, the Democrat leaders in Chicago don't give a rats ass about the well-being of Black and Hispanics.

When a White/Chinese/Indian woman has her purse snatched, or is raped on the Subway or Elevated train platform, those cameras are instantly interfaced with computer software to identify the perpetrator, and issue an all-points bulletin with his REAL face on the bulletin. The apprehension rate for these crimes DWARF the rate for Black/Hispanic shootings.

It is sad many cannot see the connection between gun violence and opiat epidemic.

But as long as it looks a certain way and appears to be in certain contained areas many are entertained by feeling they are not connected.

From drug dealers to opiat influencing drs to addicts and youth violence all one connected problem.
Who is solving it

It is like , do we really need guns? Then I think what if there is a red dawn invasion or zombie apocalypse. So in my opinion we are stuck with guns for the foreseeable future... I have a very active imagination.
