Hope whoever reads this is enjoying his/her evening! I'm in the rather fortunate position of having hundreds of ripe peaches-- we have four small peach trees in our yard (possibly even transplants), and despite a couple of brutal hailstorms I have a huge harvest this year (most years a late frost destroys the early buds and no peaches).

I've given peaches away, made peach cobbler, raspberry peach smoothies, invited friends and neighbors to help themselves, the fam's been plugging away quite diligently, and still there is a surplus. We picked a bunch which were ready to go today.

Drowning in peaches here.

Here's a fitting song I have always hated

Anyone have any recipes to recommend?
Thanks in advance

The cobbler recipe I made was delicious. I'll post a link here.

That's offensive.

All you had to do was write:
his/her/pan/transgender/furry/brony/otherkin/2spirit/neutrois/bigender/tranny/2person/polygender/hermy/asexual/ecosexual/multiple personality

instead of:
his/her

and your peachy keen here wouldnt have turned into hate speech.

I reccomend, buying a home freeze- dryer from Harvest Right! Frreze drying doesnt break the cell wall so theyre almost exactly like the day you picked them when you rehydrate. Store in 4.3 -5mm mylar bags with a couple oxygen absorbers thrown in and youre good to go for 25 years storage.

Salted Caramel Peach Cumble Pie!

I love making this with our local Missouri peaches. Sadly, I didn't get a chance to hit the River Market during peach season this year, but next season ... oh, yes ... next season ...

At least it wasn't a recipe for some 'Im-Peach Trump Pie'

LOL... something about this pic...

I knew I was entering contentious territory with my peach thread!

I do apologize for any offense. The title alone is very suggestive....

I made some grilled peaches this weekend as a side to dish to the grilled steak. Brush with some olive oil and then drizzle with good, aged balsamic when they are done.

Sounds delish

Thanks Augustus! Glad to have a savory way to eat peaches. I keep thinking of Bubba Gump references (but with peaches, not shrimp).

My taste buds have changed this year and my cravings have been pretty intense.
Peaches have been a big weakness this year for some reason....that and BLT sandwiches!!

I suggest a dehydrator....it works great instead of letting things go bad.

Uggh! I have been craving peaches! Can I have some? LOL

I actually put some in my salsa when I can it. It is surprisingly good, especially with the hotter ones. You get the spice, then a bite of sweet.

That's precisely what we're doing with this years bumper crop. Limbs need to be supported with 2x4s....

I will take some.

My peach trees did not do too well this year, what with the late freezes and lack of pruning, but homemade peach ice cream...Hearts in my eyes.

You're lucky that you crave healthy stuff!
My food cravings usually take chocolate form

Wish I could share some of the surplus with y'all.

Thanks for the suggestion, will look into a dehydrator (would probably work for the garden as well).

Oh, you brought it up!

I was going to suggest that she add some to salsas. I've never done it, but I've seen it done and it's always sounded really good to me. I've just never gotten around to it.

I do a mango/avocado salsa for catfish, so I figure those peach ones have to taste really, really good.

Sometimes we do quick breakfast rolls.

Get a tube of crescent dough (or make your own), lay out the triangles, slice your peaches or chop them (your choice) and lay them on the triangles, drizzle with some honey and sprinkle with cinnamon, roll 'em up, and bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes.

This pretty much works with all kinds of fruit and berries.
