Not really that expensive. Much of Queensland is no more expensive than south Carolina to live. The NBN is going in on my block as I speak in south Burnett and its 8megs a second and not too expensive.

As for the Aussie Aussie Aussie chant. I taught my five year old to do it. He loves it!

Burgers with beet are pretty weird but having lived in both the USA and Australia. There's no other place and people I'd rather live with than you Aussies. Tops the USA in everything but variety of food. However the quality of ingredients in Australia are superior than to that of the united states.

Forget Mexican weather. How bout some decent Mexican food. You should see the looks on everyones faces when I cook actual Mexican food. Alambres, oaxcan moles etc. Aussies need better Mexican cuisine. And more imaginative uses for avocados than millennial Melbourne kids spreading it on toast.

I guess South Africans are now increasingly called "Saffas".

No axe to grind here, think the Aussies and Kiwis are both splendid - splendidly marvellous and also splendidly weird.

However, i do want to giggle about your top internet speeds.......you are getting a whole 8 mbps? We have just had a new line installed here - UFO (ultra fibre optic) with speeds of (they claim) 1000 mbps. In reality it is a paltry 900 to 940 mbps.

Top internet speeds for households in Australia is 100MBPS as far as I know ( I don't know much so don't take my word for it) or a range that ends at 100 so basically you will never see it.


Most companies have 3 speeds you can choose from with 3 differing prices.


I am on the middle one which claimed should give me up to 40MBPS, when i check, it fluctuates between 20 and 28MBPS.

I would complain but I get it at the same prices the slowest speed 8-20MBPS and in suburban areas you don't have direct internet to your house, Its shared between you are your neighbors, so it depends if you and everyone else in the neighborhood is on then your internet speed will slow down but if you are the only on then you will have the max speed.
