He asked 'what about arranged/underage marriages?', those are two different things, hence the '/' symbol. Arranged isn't forced, which is what I was replying to, additionally plenty of underage marriages happen now because 'religion'. Facts are facts son.

While circumcision is a hygienic practice, it is at the cost of sensation. Most would argue that's not true, because they have a great time. Most also had the presedure at birth, so they can't compare it. Story's from people coming to America later in life have said they have conformed to that standard to fit in and things just aren't the same afterwards.

It stems from religion as a society norm though. Most hospitals do it as standard operating procedure unless otherwise requested.

Don't pay much attention to fundie sects in the US, do you? There's plenty of underage Christian marriage examples online, hit up a search engine. It'd do you some good to see the US without the rosy glasses.

Also, Indians do the arranged marriage like nobody's business still. The Indian folks I used to work for, the wife was born here & grew up here (2nd gen Indian American no less) Her hubby was an arranged marriage she went to India to get. As far as I'm concerned, I don't really care who follows what marriage traditions so long as they're not prevented from a legal divorce here.

As far as female circ goes, are you sliced up? Not letting my own personal preference for an aesthetically neater wang cloud this one, think about your outrage for a moment if you're missing some skin below the equator. There's a difference between removal of a womans junk and a mans junk. The purpose for doing that to a woman in eastern Muslim culture is to stop pleasure being experienced. Its not the same with circumsized males. They still feel pleasure. A removal of foreskin was always for Religious purposes. If your born with it, it probably wasn't meant to be serviced in a chop shop.

That's why I wanted to share my most awkward post ever. I can't speak from experience, but I worked with some people who came over from Brazil. They had it done in their adult life and said things were just never the same.
