In a strict sense the only protection granted the press is freedom is to redress the government. Being part of a propaganda effort as sedition, liable exetra is not. Hay but have fun sorting that out. I just turn the stuff off anyway.

Yeah no. The free press is also protected by the freedom of speech granted by the same amendment. So you are inventing crimes up on the spot that are in violation of the Constitution right now.

That word “speech” is in context with redress and vehicles of redress and not controlled by the state. Speech in general is subject to liable and even copyright. That isn’t what the constitution is about.

Don't be silly. The simple fact is that the press can report on what it wants and the government can't charge them for treason for saying it. Even if it does come across as seditious

Of course, calling the left wing media seditious or treasonous is an EXTREME case of hyperbole. The right wing media under Obama was FAR more seditious than the left wing media is under Trump. They actually supported people illegally occupying federal land to protest a rule they were violating for years all because they didn't want to pay the fee.

So save your pseudo-Constitutional analysis. The fact you are even discussing sedition and the press in the same sentence is EXTREMELY laughable.

Typical political bias opinion! What's sad is how both political parties don't recognize their own wrongs. If you weren't politically bias you would at least recognizes Trump's poor and dangerous character. The entire world has recognized he's an a$$, yet conservatives like you completely ignore it!

In addition, conservatives conveniently ignore Trump not taking action after proof was presented that Russia is trying to influence our elections. ...His unprecedented secret meeting with Putin and his refusal to brief his advisers and disclose the topics discussed to the American people. ...His unprecedented firings of his own hand-picked advisers! ...His unprecedented pathological lying. ...His outrageous compliments to dictators! The list can go on and on.

There comes a time where conservatives need to face the reality and basic facts about this president. It's shouldn't be about republicans vs democrats but more about is Trump leading America down a dangerous path. The conservatives who have recognized and have been vocal about the dangers of this president, know defending American values and protecting our country from foreign influences takes precedent over protecting their political party.
