China has reportedly banned Winnie The Poo - or perhaps just the movie? From China..

The leader Xi, was compared to the bear in both likeness and personality, thus triggering the ban as it is seen as an insult.

twitter.com...

As a concerned Texan, I think it is best that I find someone on here to hold my beer for the time being as I cannot contain my laughter. Different culture or not, In America, you can roast whomever the F you want to, and being compared to Winnie, of all things, is really not that bad, if anything it could have gained him immense popularity, but alas, the Alpha male cultures of old just cannot fathom, someone possibly looking at them cockeyed. Good show Xi! Good Show! & Stay classy out there!

Bravo RT....Bravo!

Is that what this is really about?

Better question... Is that what an alpha male looks like in China?

Banning satire and the ability of people to be satirical is just symptomatic of the level of censorship and state control in China. Banning Winnie the Poo is jut the tip of the iceberg.

Well when you are a media darling doing what those who control the media want you to do, satire isn't so bad

Don't forget that that was our "alpha male" for 8 years, too.

That was entertainment, the funniest. The Chinese leader didn't like being called pooh I guess.

Gosh, and I thought if any ruling party banned Winnie the Pooh, it would be the ANC in South Africa.

But it's not the first time the bear seems to have been in hot water.
In 2014 he was allegedly once rejected as a mascot in Poland, not only because he doesn't wear any pants, but also because he appears to be androgynous.

We wouldn't be so lucky here to have anyone ban it. I never have liked Winnie the Pooh.

I have it on good authority that he is a "willy, nilly, silly old bear". China will take perhaps willy and nilly, or nilly and silly.

All three?

Jesus man, deny ignorance for a change.
