The irony was the counter-protestors (using their Constitutionally protected rights) protesting a rally for Constitutionally protected rights.

I can't answer why they wouldn't want to peacefully assemble the answer would be individual to the people involved. Like they could instead go get some fried chicken for example ... if they like fried chicken.

To tell you the truth I thought the same thing when I watched the live stream. I wonder how long us normal Americans are going to let these weirdos waist tax payer money keeping the peace between these two weirdo armies.

I was watching a couple of videos and what i found funny is antifa is protesting libertarians. Both sides distrust the government just for different reasons.
