Yes, the police did such a great job of separating the two sides there didn't they? Notice how every event after that law enforcement officials had a game plan and stuck to it and there was not a lot of violence. When the local officials don't seem to have a plan is when both sides come looking for a fight and nobody stops them from meeting up together.
