How is all this plastic getting into the ocean.

They make it sound like someone is actively dumping on purpose thousands of oil freighter size ships of plastic into the sea.

They keep saying this massive pacific plastic patch exists..where is the proof?

Not saying it is not there but true photographic evidence has never been offered..all pics show plastic the size of a football field at best.

Sounds like alot of work to get that much plastic into the sea...who is paying for all that to be dumped there?

I wish it were actually true in a sense..and yet scientists are notorious for being wrong in these fields at a rate of nearly 100%.

Unfortunately we cannot believe anything they say with the fantastic record they have.

Storm drains lead to the sea. Rivers lead to the sea.

But some reports of the "garbage patch" are exaggerated. It's not an island of trash, it's a concentration spread across hundreds of square miles of ocean. You can't walk on it, but if you cross that area you're going to see a lot of plastic drifting by.

It's there. Crap washes up on Hawaiian beaches continuously. Tons of stuff. Literally.

Whirlwinds & Tornados are responsible for dumping a lot of waste out at sea... this is something which isn't taken into account when you read reports of all this plastic in the sea. Yeah... scummy people do throw plastic waste in parks, at beaches, on the roads but when there's high speed winds, they also whip it up and dump it elsewhere

The Mob in NY constantly dumps barges of garbage at sea to save money instead of paying to dump in a landfill. Proper policing of garbage movement would thwart this, but I'm guessing there are plenty of payoffs to help this happen. Kind of like how the Clinton Foundation runs.

From the comments, it looks like we have a lot of denial going on. A simple refusal to accept the figures. That's fine, that's okay, The scale of the problem is overwhelming. Those living in developed countries do not want to change the level of their lifestyle, but with our planet being a finite source of resources, resources I might add that are pretty much at the limit of their extractable limits, a change to their lifestyle is on the way, in spite of whatever they will accept and believe.

Each of us, from birth to death want to be comfortable and happy. Not in a natural way, but in a developed, technological way. We want energy supplied uninterrupted to our homes, along with fresh clean water. We want our malls and stores and shops full of the stuff we need each week, and we want those stores re-supplied continually, again without interruption. Indeed, for the most part, they remain so, but the strain of maintaining it all is rising year on year.

All peoples of all countries want the same level and quality of lifestyle as we here in the West, but the earth does not have the consumable resources to provide it, we need the resources of two earth's, and of course, we don't have that.

Governments know this. They also know that the easiest option to the overwhelming scale of the problem is to reduce human population, because that is where the strain is coming from. You cannot feed ten billion people adequately, while the developed countries around the world continues to maintain their grip on the earth's resources for themselves.

Stephen Emmott has stated the figures. At the moment there is a concerted effort throughout Europe to include as many diverse cultures as possible, more to avoid conflict crossing borders in our present time, but it is a time that is being borrowed from the future. Governments meanwhile are preparing the 'easiest' solution via instruction from the elites that run our human societies. Why do you think that there are large amounts of public money missing and unaccountable? It is because the elites are having 'Arks' built to save themselves and the required amount of people with the right expertise to maintain the Arks. There will be a deadline they are working to.

By culling the human race, you can greatly reduce the scale of the problem. Each developed country will have a level of population reduction they will have to adhere to. The larger and more populous the country, the greater the reduction. There are other plans to the problem, but they take longer to implement, at greater cost, and do not resolve the issue. The only logical solution is a human cull right across the board.

At the moment, all this can only be considered as conspiracy speculation, but when you connect the dots, sorting the wheat from the chaff, the picture that emerges is one that is utterly appalling and horrifying. Even if you remove all the environmental and economic concerns you still have the most dangerous part of the problem intact, and that is our fractious ideologies that will ultimately lead us to all out global conflict. What the elites are silently doing, in plain sight though, is pre-empting all of that. Once they are ready, they will enter their Arks as a breakaway surviving civilisation, and the rest of us will be clinically removed by a number of methods of mass euthanasia.
