The trade wars will prove effective but it will take time. They will break before we will. And it will take some determination on our part to make it happen.

Why use information from a foreign source?sounds like your trying to promote hearsay, another cheap liberal move, just because some euro socialist says something what truth is in it?

It isn't a foreign source to me as I'm British , I'm sure you will find confirmation in American media.

So we should just continue with lopsided trade deals that take almost a trillion dollars out of the economy and places that money in foreign hands?

We have atrocious trade deals that have caused this problem. Should we keep taking it up the A$$ or should we fight to make fair trade deals, even if we have to take a few punches?

We are a heavyweight boxer against lightweights. We will take a few punches but if they don't compromise they will get knocked out.

You are worried about 12 billion that looks like it will be paid for by the tariffs not taxes. How do you think China is going to maintain their economy minus 500 billion in US dollars each year. We are the bank, we have power.

Maybe you have a better idea. Like to tell us how to fix lopsided trade deals with rainbows and unicorns? Or do you just hate Trump and everything he does must be bad because the MSM says so?

Sorry for taking your post seriously... That said I rarely take anything too seriously when it comes to opinions... I don't see anything changing anytime soon, so best not to get worked up.

It will come out of the initial $20 bil made off of the tariffs.
www.forbes.com...

This is a good move. You sometimes have to spend money to make money.

I say keep on with the trade war but don’t bail them out, let them eat it. Those poor huge companies making only 375 MILLION  a year in profit instead of 395 MILLION a year! Oh the horror!

Best way to hurt China is pull out US foreign investment.
Eff tariffs.

Let's not maximize a single negative and minimize the positives under trump so far.

What on earth are you guys smoking !?!

This is absolute proof of the abject failure of Trump's
"War On Friends' Stuff" ... heuuu 'war'

You don't declare any kind of "war"
and straight off the bat, dish out the money to the home team !
It's a pacifier, it means that you expect to lose
probably 'bigly' too

It's more of an anticipatery move ..
> before the agricultural industry withers and dies
the first amongst many

...

Of course

Best way to hurt China is pull out US foreign investment

Why not !

And China then do likewise...
>then sell their surplus dollars,
>then refuse to buy petrol in $
just to see how "The Donald" likes them apples

...

If this is the first, concrete, 'smoothing action'
by the Potus, to calm fears that his WOFS is a good thing
It's an admission of failure
abject

There'll be worse to come though...
Once the manufacturing sector starts taking hits
How much will Trump "give away"

And so on,
for each and every sector

...

Let's not maximize a single negative and minimize the positives under trump so far.

Some one has a v.v.v bad dose of inversed prevalence-induced concept change
better get help/change or up/even, maybe, take the meds ?
...

This is not about 50 'shades' of anything clever, nor 4d chess

It's 50 shades of evident stupidity
coming back to bite the unfortunate asses of farmers

because of Trump
being an asshole

I dont at all feel this is a losing strategy. This is the tough part of taking our country back. Prices are going to rise and more or less, it's a game of chicken. I don't think we're losing, we're simply at the stage of the birth pangs of this little trade war.

Personally, I'm happy to pay more for AMERICAN goods. At least I know China isn't getting it.

So.... Slave labor is ok as long as prices are low? You have to chose and you have to stick with it. Don't tuck tail because it's getting tough. It's got to get tough before it gets easy.

Either you want something good for the US or good for other countries. You can't have it both ways. If we're not buying their goods, they're not making money. You can't say other countries will over consume goods just because we're not buying. It's going to turn into waste on their part.

The US also plans to buy crops such as fruits and nuts, distributing them to food banks and other government nutrition programmes.

Sounds like you can't snip.

People will still be getting their free GMO food while making Jp Morgan billions.

I don't care about GMOs but I do feel that what they're doing there is a hell of a lot better than burning the fields as they have been doing. At least this time, the overage is going to the hungry.

I don't know who this will be good for in the end, but it definitely will not be the people.

Regardless of the administration how many laws and policies ever have the interests of genuine, hard working everyday people as their primary goal?

How do I become a farmer? I need some of that cash!

Buy some acreage....

I'm beginning to like Trump more and more. My 180 acres in cotton and onions will pay bigly thanks to the American taxpayers.

And thanks for paying me to not grow anything...suckers!!

nebraska.farmergoestomarket.com...

Man I'm going to next year. But might be only 10 Acres. But it looks like per the IRS there isn't a minumum Acreage. It's just hte intent to sell something for profit that grows on your land with a couple of exceptions like a vineyard. So...I'm going to be rich!!!!!!

If it hurts us pretty bad, then we'll find an actual war and make a some of the money back.

Iran ?

Can't ya see the dirt trail that leads into the woods? It's like a movie where you kind of guess what's going to happen next because of a very dry plot line. World powers are so obvious... yet us peons have zero power to stop them or stand in the way. Even if we did, in a perfect world, we could but we wont because we're all lazy bastards.

I'm not gonna try it... YOU try it...

I'm not gonna try it... YOU try it...

I'm not gonna try it... YOU try it...

Let's get Trump... He'll try anything!

My girl friend makes big bucks on her acre with just asparagus, selling it to the fancy yuppie restaurants in the village.
There also some big tax advantages to being a "land owner"....plus you can always go down to the south end of your spread and stroke your ego on how smart you were to invest in land. Did I mention the little tractors to ride on.

The USA is STRONG financially. Together, we can outlast all other countries in a trade war. Bring it on full-bore, so we can get it over with.

What is it with Democrat's wanting change but every time someone does something different they have panic attacks?

Either you want things to get better and you're willing to make the sacrifices that deliver that change or you want to be in your comfort zone, what is it?

Tell your gf to rent the land out for camping
Build a cabin (professionaly! Not through weekends of huffy bickering)

Set up local hiking/quading/trekking routes
and you'll be sorted for life
as they say

If you live a bit "in the country"
That is

I don't feel that there's much of a market for
"Urban Wiestworldery' in real life

And when the mkt. crashes and it falls on trumps head...the boat will definitely rock.

Tariffs and trickle down just can't work in tandem. You'll see....

And?

Open secret.
