errors in 2001 :

4 , 5 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 11 , 12 , 13 , 18 , 20 & 21 [ 23 and 24 i am not sure wether to class as releant ]

are all technical or science errors - that show that even kubricks monies were not capable of reflecting the reality of space operations - and they had the option of re-shoots etc -

i CBA going through this one - as they dont have numbers - but just ignore the continutity errors and other irreleant tags - alll the " factual error " tags are releant to this discussion and most " revealing mistakes " are also relevant

The base in the book & film was at the Clavius crater on the near side of the Moon the most obvious choice for communications with Earth.

Many errors stars visible while correctly exposing for surface, Earth or astronauts in views also dust movement objects in supposed zero gravity not behaving as they would.

There were also problems with the lighting of the Earth within scenes.

Still think it was a great movie and I am old enough that my father took me to the cinema to see it on release.
