Engaged in activism,
Like they tryin' to win
A game made by Activision

And all these pundit preachers
Claimin' such pragmatism,
When they only want that bankroll
Off someone else's brokeback schizm...

Like global warming of the soul,
'Yo, i told ya so.'..
Got compassionates hot,
And conservatives ice-cold

And if u lookin' hereafter
For a hand to hold,
U betta' make it a cadaver,
Get that message ("SOLD!")

See, only shock remains
A real commodity to hold
[At least u know ur still alive
When ya neurons get cold]

And you can flush ur politics
Right down the commode....

Unpaid troll, here. Worse, a volunteer troll ;o) I tend to "hear" your prose as a metal/thrash/punk tune, and it plays very well in my head.

I don't think we need worry about the Earth. She will recover as she always has, and whatever deserving species next up to bat will take over and hopefully do better than us.

I think we'd have been much better off as a species had we evolved with a hive-mind. Observe the simple ant colony. There are not individuals there, but a whole comprised of several parts. The individual creatures will sacrifice themselves willingly by the thousands or millions to preserve the sanctity of the nest. They ALWAYS build within the bounds of their localised resources.

Fair point...so let's see.. how many people use electricity? Internet? Running water? Cars? Trains, Planes and Automobiles?

Now.. how many people, comparatively, came up with these ideas?
We may not be able to spread intelligence exponentially, but we can sure spread the dependence on it, can't we? ;-)
