Big liz stays out of stuff like that there is no way she would say anything to trump about her personal views on any given political topic.

Ohhh as for how I feel about brexit I feel like moving to Dublin.

It's sad the leader of a nation can't express her opinions in public. Does anyone believe this is how a free society with intellectual leaders operates? Sounds more like scared little children subjecting the public to their whims.

Exactly why the US founding fathers risked everything in their Declaration of Indepence. They envisioned a society where everyone openly stated their opinions and no one hid behind a crown. I prefer transparency and freedom to secrecy and tyranny.

I don't care. She rules by bloodline. Bloodlines that killed other bloodlines to maintain rule do not impress me. The queen is no one to me.

How is it wrong for her to state her opinions publicly? What is everyone afraid of? You have a nation of people who are afraid of the queen's opinion and you don't find that ludicrous?

"God save the Queen" - Stockholm Syndrome on a national scale. No thanks.

The British Commonwealth, is alive and waiting , all the leaders of this arrangement are waiting patiently. During the time of Britain first joining Europe most of these countries learnt how to develop independent economies. Instead of using the UK as a processor of recourses, the members have good economies, which just need the extra organization to complete their own internal word market. Most of them still have the Queen as head of state, and a common language. Far from being a dead organization, the countries are and have been sharing educational and industrial resources. If Britain exits as planned you can guarantee far greater corporation between the existing members. That's Australia, New Zealand ,Canada , a lot of Africa which would like more economic stability, Caribbean nations etc. plus the British Overseas territories which are strategically placed on the Map. It could be an interesting new development. Not to mention India.

Okay.

I just hope things work out for you guys.

(why would I believe she revealed anything to Trump?)

Didn't you believe Trump wouldn't win the election when he said he would?

Trump's election?

Lots can be said about that.

I'm waiting for what history says about Trump - - - and "that" election.

Brexit is total madness to some including me but to others it is wonderful news. The trouble with the EU was they wanted to enforce their rule over our everyday lives and that is so out of touch with what we want over here in Great Britain. If Brussels had just left it as a pure economic union where things could be traded easily but where local paliaments still had control then things would have been better. But by trying to take us over and enforce their general laws on Brits then they went too far. I just pray things will be ok, maybe it is a chance to make the country a better or fairer place but with the usual folks in charge is this dream possible?

I agree completely with what you've said.

The whole idea of the European Union is great. Sadly it's been turned into something controlling and almost dictatorship like.
No body should have the power to chnage the laws of another country. Forcing it to live the way they want to. That is the decision of the chosen Government at the time.

Were people misinformed about Brexit? Yes and no. Both the Leave and the Remain side lied and tried to influence people. In a lot of cases that worked. But the notion that people didn't know what they were voting for is rubbish. We were simply asked to leave the EU or not. It's not the people's fault if they were misinformed. It's those in power who didn't realise the implications of what was happening.

I also get the feeling that the Elites were so damn arrogant in the fact that they didn't think we have the balls to vote change.

I do fear for my country. The whole thing is a total mess.

As for Trump and the Queen. I can't imagine she would give her views on Brexit to Trump. If she did, then he should the sense to keep them private.

Trump = Newbie (besides I don't believe anything he says)

Queen = A Lifetime of experience & protocol (why would I believe she revealed anything to Trump?)

Trump is a business person.

Queen = A Lifetime of experience & protocol

Doing what exactly ?
Performing "Queenly" duties and tapping random kneeling fellers with a sword ?

60+ years as the worlds longest head of state and diplomat holding fortnightly meetings with the PM and touring almost every country in the world repeatedly on visits. Given she's apolitical and how seriously she has taken her role, she's the most experienced on the planet.

She's not going to destroy the entire credibility, unique role and power a Head of State who remains independent of politics to reveal her views. He insulted her enough by shaking her hand, stepping infront of the Queen, blocking her view, walking in between the Queen and her guards preventing the displaying of the longest serving Queen's Guard regiment -

Now he's down to lying and making slurs against her, this just highlights his complete ignorance to who the Queen is and what she does.

We're far better off having a Head of State who acts as a symbol of unity and consistency across the Commonwealth and doesn't lower themselves to politics - just look what happened to the States.

A lifetime that groomed her from birth to lead a country. Not a loan from her father but a tradition that is millennia long.
Trump is a bull in a China shop. She is class personified.
There's as much a difference between the two as wet and dry.
I do not believe she shared any views with him unless it was what she thought of the tea sandwiches and the crispness of the cress.
