First time listening to metal clips.

In my YouTube feed, I see this has almost become a genre of home-made videos: apparent heavy metal virgins (I suppose people who grew up more with hip-hop or soul music) listen to heavy metal for the first time.

The reactions are sometimes quite interesting to behold, not just the surprise, but some people are virtually overcome with emotion.

One of the best I've seen is this dude listening to Rammstein for the first time.

I mean this dude moves from pleasantly surprised, to joyous to almost ecstatic.

And that's a band singing in German, English-speakers actually miss the meaning and just like the sound!
Well, he keeps hoping it's not "Voodoo curses".

Great song, "Number Of The Beast" was the first album(on cassette lol)I bought myself at 13, still holds up today.

I never think of Rammstein as "Heavy Metal"....its just more German Industrial than anything.

I enjoy their music tho....I like "Du Hast" and "Mein Land".

Iron Maiden are more of a soft rock band, from the hair 80s days.

Never liked the 80s term, Heavy Metal.....its always been "Hard Rock" to me.

Perhaps its time for a song......

These guys were as young as 16....

My grade 11 English teacher lent me this album. She was cool.

First time listening to all kinds of music.

Very good on one hand, but on another it makes me feel very old.

Not just half old, but ancient.

I mean these people are discovering my standard albums as if they were Tutankhamen's tomb.

Is that really what it's like these days?

I was like man you need some cannibal corpse or lamb of god if you want death metal.

He needs pantera , slayer, selputura if he wants the real heavy metal.

Some great music in here! Black Sabbath was one of the first heavy metal bands I ever listened to.

It's always interesting to see people's first impression of the genre. LOL

I don't "get" this music much except for a few but that was amazing in any case, beautiful

It's almost back. These guys are putting out something, I hope. New skinlab is a wet dream for my ears!!!
