Some do. Most of relatives who were masons were in some kind of trade. Carpentry, steel, that kind of thing. So there will be actual masons in the mason.

I've had masons in the family for maybe 250 years, one is currently a lodge master.

Frankly, it's just a gentelman's club. The only secrets that they kept were from their wives, and probably involved heavy drinking.

I used to work in a bar in a Freemasons and i can definitely attest to the drinking part.

It was the busiest bar in the world for 15 minutes.

Beers and Gin & Tonics with the odd Sherry ("schooner of amontillado" they used to say).

Then it was the quietest bar in the world for about 75 mins.

Repeat several times.

Best bar job i ever had. That was over 20 years ago.

There was the occasionally grumpy old man, but in the main, cool set of old boys just with a funny handshake!

I just don't get it. Forget that I have shouted this from the rooftops on at least twelve different threads, but the three most quintessential works regarding the secrets of masonry were cats that were left out of the bag 140 years ago almost and yes, like even admitted that the fraternity is a total cover for the true brotherhood. Those who are aware they are a different species than human and what is called the secret of the widows son. Its not even disputed by those of the secret brotherhood any longer nor that Lucifer is their progenitor although he is also referred to by GAOTU or Genie of Fire. Watch first 25 min it will tell u everything explaining pretty much every conspiracy on earth cuz it's all related.
