Self Governance Results in too much corruption

I said before the 2016 election it doesn't matter which candidate gets elected because NOTHING will change. And it turns out I was right.

It seems to me the Trump enthusiasm for draining the swamp is turning out to be just another smoke screen by some rich a hole so he can get himself and his rich friends some additional tax breaks. So much for draining the swamp! Mission Accomplished!

The government is so freaking corrupt right now. I read the Pentagon cannot account for $21 trillion dollars. With this level of corruption NOTHING will challenge spending. The Pentagon now exists just to preserve Pentagon spending. Anyone who tries to cut military spending is now a "threat to national security". The military's main mission is to ensure the continued existence of military spending. There is just no reason to have a civilian government at this point.

It seems to me there is no point to having a Congress anymore either. Lobbyists control domestic policy and the Council on Foreign Relations defines foreign policy. Parties are irrelevant because both parties have exactly the same policies. So we do not need a Congresss. Just let the lobbyist write laws. Elections and politics are a complete waste of time for anyone who is not a billionaire. Money IS representation. There's just no reason to vote anymore.

What we have is not 'self - governance' it is governance by capital.

We the People's desires and needs are regularly ignored by the Executive, Legislative and Justice Branches of the US Government.

While the Executive and Justices Branches of Government should not be at the mercy of Public or Capital Opinion, the Legislative Branch should represent the Will of the People as laid out in the Constitution, not the Will of Capital.

What we have is not a failure of 'self-governance' but a corruption of it.

I was of the opinion that most likely nothing would change, so why not try someone unconventional? What difference would it make, right? I figured if we stayed on the same corrupt as always path, things would continue their decline. If we send in the wild card, he'll either toe the line or speed up our demise. Guess what? He's pissed off everyone in power whether they be the MSM, private business tycoons, global bankers, foreign governments (allied and otherwise), and every government stooge big and small. Then we can thank the MSM for adding half the private citizens to their freakout with their daily dose of Hate Trump reinforcement.

I've long believed that voting should be restricted to those who can pass a basic civics test (the one we give to immigrants). We have too many people voting with no understanding of the issues.

This also results in charlatans being elected over and over in the same districts. One has to ask how bojangling minstrels like Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, and (insert your favorite multiple term buffoon congressman) keep getting elected.

What self governance? How do you have self governance when your elections offer up candidates that take no real policy positions but rather, either offer up lower taxes/less government or higher taxes/free stuff?

The US population isn't self governing. The US population is governed by a well entrenched cabal of Oligarchs, Corporate, Banking, Financial and Deep State. Rules/Regulations, etc. are administered by unelected Bureaucrats who answer largely to no one and can't be fired because of Federal Rules of Employment for Government Employees.

The $21 Trillion wasn't lost by the Pentagon.....it went into Deep State black box projects.

You really need to mature somewhat and come to recognize the truth of "America". The business of America is.......business! Its pretty much everyone for themselves and devil take the hindmost. "Root Hog or Die". The reason for being here is to MAKE MONEY! Its certainly not for the High Art and Architecture.

Here's a challenge for you that if you take it will change your life forever.
Find a wholesale operation on the Internet. Buy 20 or so boxes of cheap women's shoes and handbags, various sizes but run to larger and wide.
Find the nearest Flea Market, rent a stall for the weekend, set up some tables to display your wares and watch what happens. Talk to customers, ask them what they are looking for. Hopefully you'll make some sales and can do more buying from your wholeseller on a more and more informed basis.

I'd strongly recommend you turn off the cell phone and avoid any news outlets whatsoever.

Try it out and get back to us and I think you'll report your pleasantly surprised.

BTW, I have a friend who got laid off from her Oil Company job in the mid 90's; her husband had left her with 3 kids. She did just what I've described and put the three kids through college. She's still working the Flea Markets today! She loves it!

He pissed off everyone in power (except his friendly MSM chums @ Fox, private business tycoons who he's awarded government positions of power and oversight to, global bankers who he's rewarded by hiring family members, foreign governments who previously were our enemies are now mysteriously our best friends while our old allies are the new enemy, and a plethora of full time born & raised government stooges that he could find to staff the rest of the positions he could fill). So in that sense of you don't count any of the aforementioned categories you a 100% correct.

Your signature says Politics are a waste of time. And yet you try to convince that issues that existed and panned out years if not decades ago are the fault of Donald Trump. If you were honest about your anger you would find something that you can pin directly to Donald Trump since he has been in office. Since January of 2017. Anything before has NOTHING to do with him.

The children being held in camps has been a problem as long as illegal immigration has existed. There is human trafficking. It does exist. The officials that capture illegal aliens have to make sure that the children coming across the border are not on their way to being sold to someone for illegal activities.
You people act like you care about these children. The fact that none of you stop to think about that issue alone shows that you do not care, nor do you think about them. You are using it as a talking point that has been given to you from on high to help convince the masses that Trump is a bad president and that we need more Bushes and Clinton's in office to show us how to be.
