I have the perfect solution! All men will undergo sterilization at a set time in life. Naturally, you can freeze your sperm beforehand, in the event you one day find a woman that wants to procreate with you. She gets inseminated, and voila, there is your planned offspring. Repeat as desired. No more accidental/unwanted pregnancy!

That was a side point to the main argument. That wasn't about abortion specifically, old mate seems to think someone can read a few text books and have the same level of education as a trained doctor. As he's read his wifes nursing text books and done about "100 hours of reasearch" on abortion, therefor his knowledge is on par with a trained professional.

The main point of my argument was, in the majority of the first world where abortions are legal, there is a limit on how far along a pregnancy can go before its aborted. Before that point it's deemed the foetus is not yet cognizant and self supportive and is able to be aborted. That point in the development of the foetus has been determined by doctors and obstetricians who have many, many years of training and study behind them. They do not abort after that timeframe unless there is risk to the health of the mother - steriotypically.

I doubt (unless there is a member who is a obstetrician on here), that anyone has the proper knowledge on this website to debate this time frame that has been established and is used.
