I am really surprised that CNN or MSNBC hasn’t made her an every night panelist for their Trump bashing extravaganzas.

It's crazy how fast the narrative switched from "We can't separate kids from their parents when their parents break the law, it's cruel" to "It's a natural right to be able to murder kids!"

Yea, when I saw Bush support this one I was thinking oh hell no.......guess we will have to wait for some SCOTUS decisions to see which tree he swings from?

IMO...

The hoopla will be short lived, and he will be confirmed well before it could be used by folks for an advantage in trying to get elected this NOV...

For me, that means a SAFE PICK for the SWAMP...

Any SCOTUS pick is a crap shoot. Let's be realistic about this.

Some of the off decisions you will see in an apellate court judge will be in deference to SCOTUS rulings though, so there is that.

Just keep telling yourself that it will be hard for this to be worse than something Her Majesty would have set us up with.

It is also possible that this guy is a stalking horse. They'll fight over him ... maybe even get him to withdraw and take time. Then the real pick comes out and gets through.

It's not something they can hide.

As an independent/non-affiliated libertarian (social liberal, fiscal conservative) I'm not sure I like this pick, he seems way too partisan for me. Seems like a GOP pinch hitter.

I liked Kennedy, he was politically conservative but didn't allow his partisanship to sway his rulings.

THAT'S what I'm looking for in a SCOTUS pick. But in today's hyper political climate we're just not going to get that.

Yes, but judges have been known to suddenly change their stripes considerably when freed from the need to respect the rulings of higher courts too.

What I am shocked by, is that he is being nominated to the bench after his disregard to the 4th amendment...
