Yawn. Trump has freedom of speech. Besides, haven't you paid any mind to tech advances? They can forge entire videos and conversations now.

Even if it is 100%, Trump wasn't elected for racial-related reasons. He was elected to ensure a conservative/libertarian majority that will uphold the original intent of our Constitution. As long as he keeps doing that, come hell or high water, I will continue to donate to right-wing organizations and cast my vote for Republicans

If the left is truly hell bent on starting a civil war, then I pitty them. Not only are patriotic Americans (including some patriots on the left) not threatened by these extremist forces (most well armed country in the world, etc) but our military/government/police security apparatus would likely destroy anything other than a full-scale 10%-of-the-population-or-more rebellion.

Much more likely these disaffected folks figure out a way to live with the will of the majority until such a time as the situation calms down enough to facilitate actual compromise and negotiation. But idiots like Adam Schiff shrieking about "collusion" does nothing but inflame the situation beyond the point rational discussion is possible (especially when Pelosi admitted just today that no one knows what Mueller has/does not have). Clearly, using "your" opinion/warped conspiracy theories as an attack-cue is a non starter.

God willing, when Trump's next SCOTUS justice in confirmed, the radical far-left will realize it has been defeated (ideologically) and moderate Democrats will once again run their party. When this happens, the Democrats will slowly and gradually regain their seats in government provided they don't let these far-left extremists re-brand them as the "Socialist party of America" as some have already tried to do - this will ensure permanent defeat (multi-generational defeat, I should say)

Any person that would be willing to plunge this nation into a third world sh##-hole status over a mere word is frankly insane. Only a true sociopath could be that petty in a nation founded on the principles of freedom and liberty. Our first amendment to the BOR is free speech/religion, for goodness sake.

It wouldn't be the greatest thing to hear, but at the end of the day a word is just a word. To me at least, nothing that comes out of a flapping head (words) are worth throwing this country and our lives away over.

It'd have to be pretty darn serious to warrant that kind of response and sacrifice. Otherwise, it just isn't worth it. You'll never have a large enough portion of the population take up arms over the utterance of a word.

This is America. We are founded on certain bedrock principles including freedom of speech. Anyone who doesn't like that should kindly leave, because they have no real place in a civilized/freedom loving society based on liberty. "You" have the right to say things "I" don't want to hear. "You" do not have the right to stop "me" from saying what "I" please (minus a few narrow exceptions)

Not to mention the far-left's constant accusations of racism/sexism/etc against every single conservative politician, voter, supporter and candidate... they've really watered down the meaning of the word and the impact it has.

Thanks to them, in today's climate, such a revelation would barely make the outrage of the day list. Check on typical Dem message boards (like DU), there are hundreds of new complaints daily and most of them sound like they were written be either an angry teenager or a sociopathic whackjob living in a delusion.

I agree, the average standard-bearer white male is being vilified by elements within the far left. No doubt about it. I just doubt they have the ability to impart their will through force over any measurable area. Antifa thugs (Portland) are extremely cowardly and ineffective. Fighting a revolution/civil war is not a day time activity. You don't win battles by swinging bike locks or posting goofy conspiracy theories online.

If that small percentage of unhinged extremists ever committed to organized violence, I have no doubt our security apparatus would prevail. If not? Millions of armed American patriots who would defend our Republic, our flag and our Constitution til the very end.

It would be controlled chaos and talking heads, until all of a sudden a new issue were invented to be outraged over. The left has tempered America to its outrage by inventing any reason to attack Trump. This country has watched as they attacked Trump regardless of what he has done. Heck, a sizeable number have outright walked away from the Dem party (as I did in 2016 before the election).

The far-left radical elements I referenced are not a real threat. The mainstream left/Dem party has no desire to engage in violence or attacks. I really fail to see this radical change you predict. Not saying it can't happen, heck the assassination of a minor Arch-duke sparked a World War. And less than 10k killed in 9/11/01 spawned decades of intrusive security procedures and unprecedented violations of our constitutional rights. So I will agree that small things can have big impacts, but the left has attenuated this risk significantly by feigning outrage and anger over all issues (specifically non-issues or wedge issues)
