Headed to Blythe, pulled over to stretch my legs and capture a photo of the sign floating in the night but caught something else.

Damn! I missed it. Was in Indio yesterday.

However, ya have to understand this area (Sonora Desert) is a major military area.

Lots of military training all over the area.

Looks like swamp flares.

Those clearly look like drones or a military plane formation. You saw nothing out of the ordinary and in no way a UFO sighting. The MIB are watching you.

That's putting it mildly. That's one of the busiest bits of area in the west, outside NTTR.

Hopefully this helps to identify what you saw.

Oh, I know - - lived in the Sonora Desert area for 30 years.

However, I have seen a UFO in the daytime. Clear blue skies, high wispy clouds.

It traveled in what appeared to be a half circle pattern. Then returned to its point of origin. Then ascended straight up until it past the high clouds.

It was a glowy white/yellow. Cigar shape, so I assume saucer shape. This was in 1964.

A buddy of mine was driving through that area about a month or so ago and had two Luke AFB F-16s go by him so low he could clearly see the pilots. We go through there every couple days and you never know what you're going to see.

Very true.

Even in ground transport.

There they are! I lost my fluorescent pigeons; I've been feeding them glow in the dark sea slugs to see what happens.

I don't think they appreciate the diet.

Did you saw the lights when you took the photo? Was the photo taken inside a car?

That there is some genuine American swamp gas refracting off of a weather balloon and the planet Venus.
Nothing to see here.

Reflection or unknown "areal" object.

Either way, cool pic.

If not a reflection, then likely some skunky work by the folks with all the suppressed tech who get to have ALL the fun.

Most likely something flying in support of NTC.

My guess is that it's lens flares from the lights of the gas station.

Although the curved line that runs through the sign looks a lot like a reflection.
