In Trumps case, he's never off of the news, and not in a positive way. He tweets absolute nonsense and says completely ridiculous things almost daily. So, I'm allowed to have an opi ion on that. Whether you like it or not.

Like him or not, he is the POTUS. And it wasn't people who just couldn't wait to elect Trump that won him the election. It was people who were so sick of business as usual that did it. Obama promised hope and change. We got neither. I think the one person who deserves the most credit for getting Trump elected is obama with hillary a close second. It sure as hell wasn't Trump. He won despite himself. My vote for Trump was really a vote against 4 more years of business as usual, or worse. It was a vote of desperation willing to risk all for even a slim chance at changing the course of this great nation.

He won by less than the margin of two time Obama voters who voted for him.

I see it in a different light. To me the country is like an older married couple that hasn't actually communicated in 20 years. They tolerate each other, they do things together, but they're taking the comfort for granted. Sometime a relationship needs a blow up so they can declare all their annoyances for the last 20 years. They end up taking the vitriol a little to far to the point of embarrassment, and actually have to reflect on their person. They realize that half of the annoyances were created for the purpose of antagonizing the other for retribution of the their misdeeds. Compounding issues, negative + negative = negative. negative × negative = positive

Just hoping for the least of amount of bloodshed before the light enters the room.

I feel ya. A lot of it is "blowback" however and will probably have to run its course. Before my opinion of Trump changed for the better from my research, I still couldn't understand how conservatives, libertarians, and conservative independents were being totally trashed and labeled by the MSM and by the liberals on these boards.

A few years ago it was brutal here and conservatives seemed to be the minority then. They weren't the ones doing the trash talking for the most part. All that meanness and name calling rebounded hence "blowback."

Having said that, we do need to find a better way if possible. I also wish Trump would show his very commonsense side more often. He's quite diplomatic when he wants to be. I think now that he's won and has some wins he could/should do a little more of that. On the other hand, he had a tough row to hoe and still has the media coming all kamikaze at him 24/7. It probably takes a certain personality type to weather that and bend it to your advantage.

Here's an interesting vid that I think is spot on in many ways. It's not pro-Trump but some observations on technique and efficacy. Interesting vids from the guys that run the channel---worth digging around in a bit imo.
