I agree with what you're saying. Just because the law says their pedos doesn't necessarily mean they are. The difference between a 5-13 year old and a 16 year old is a huge one. The way teenagers dress and act nowadays makes a huge difference too. When i was a teenager i had more than a handful of older men, going into their late 40s and early 50s, hitting on me. Didn't make them pedos, just pervs IMO.

But, I also think it ranges from case to case. Say that 17 year old was a virgin and seriously planning on saving himself for marriage and the older guy really was coercing him into having sex. That's different, I think. It just depends on the situation

I’m not sure what pointing to decriminalisation of prostitution has to do with the sexual morality of a society, which is even argued for in the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas and was the general outlook of a Catholic Europe that was the farthest thing from sexually immoral in its social norms, to provide just one example. Is there an actual argument buried somewhere in that outburst?
