Looks like there'll need to be a review of this administration's security procedures:

The host of "The Stuttering John" podcast, John Melendez, got President Trump on the phone yesterday by pretending he was New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez. "This is how easy it is to infiltrate the administration," Melendez said in the episode.

This calls into question White House security. White House staff members are freaking out today trying to figure out how the podcast host was so easily transferred from the White House switchboard to Air Force One, per a source familiar with the call.

Melendez, the host, had three different interactions with two White House operators and got through two call screens before Jared Kushner called him from Air Force One. According to Melendez, Kushner asked if he wanted to talk to the president then or have them call him back later, which is what he did.

The recording:

Nothing out of place in the audio, the prank call was rather timid and Trump responded relatively well. Still, this brings into question this Administration's security processes and the GOP's consistency on this matter given the fact this issue was brought to the forefront during the Obama administration. Trump himself had, and still continues to bring up Hillary Clinton's own security issues during the Obama administration and the GOP has consistently brought up the matter of security under the previous administration, so much so they've launched a number of investigations which had in part related to security protocols.

Earlier last month it was identified by media that Trump had freely given his mobile number to foreign counterparts around the world which experts advised was not only unorthodox but dangerous. Voice calls can be intercepted. A cellphone’s signals to nearby phone towers can give up its precise location. Even cellular networks are vulnerable. In April Mike Pence's National Security Aid stepped down after a behind the scenes argument was captured and released to the public. Last year US Vice President Mike Pence used a private email to discuss security issues – and it was hacked. Then there's the obvious fact we've had consistent leakages coming out from this administration and to date they haven't been able to properly identify the source. All this doesn't sit well with the GOP considering the fact they launched multiple probes into Hillary Clinton's departments breaches of security protocol and procedure to the point where they tried to lay criminal charges on her. But hey? It's all dependent on what the individual may consider to be a serious enough issue right?

It's nice to see the president taking time to speak with the 'people'.

Pretty sure this is illegal..
And it should be, nobody should waste the US Presidents time with prank calls.

Like they didn't check the caller ID number.

They knew who it was and played along for kicks.

The Pres sounded relaxed, working his plan, and an encouraging guy and negotiater. Good peek behind the scenes actually.

That's a very interesting take on it Xue. Some people say this guy is wasting the president's time and he has more important things to do and here you are claiming the opposite really.

Maybe they did check the caller ID, but were careless. Notice the almost identical last name spellings of the Senator and the radio host.
Someone on the switchboard is in big trouble.

Yes , a certain demographic would answer
Rather than finding humor in a prank , a sitting President should have such person arrested , tried for High Treason at a military tribunal , and have a bullseye placed around their neck , a last cigarette , and a blindfold applied before they march said person out into the courtyard at sunrise to meet their maker.

Apparently , the OP feels this way as well.

He actually did GUT. But then again the prank called was fairly soft in his questions and Trump was obviously prepared given he'd been called into question on these issues a number of times before. Had it been somebody else the call would've gone much differently.

Was this your doppelganger in another Mandella universe pontificating?

Just asking

www.abovetopsecret.com...

network dude:

tit for tat dumbassery, and I shake my head. Then in looking through the responses,

.... If a thread is stupid, and all it does is cause fighting, you stepping in to fight for your side, isn't helping.

Laughing and walking away to a more productive thread, now that may help.
