It would be cool to get a bunch of buds together and go eat there. Wait until we get our food, then everyone whip out MAGA hats, just to see what happens.
You missed the point. She resigned from Lexington because of the furor she created. And yes, she apparently didn't think it through when she took that action.

LEXINGTON, Va. - Stephanie Wilkinson has resigned from her role with Main Street Lexington, a volunteer-based organization.
Elizabeth Outland Branner, the president of the organization, accepted Wilkinson's resignation Tuesday morning.
"Considering the events of the past weekend, Stephanie felt it best that for the continued success of Main Street Lexington, she should step aside," Branner wrote in an email.
Wilkinson came under fire after asking White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to leave her restaurant, The Red Hen, on Friday night.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
IMO, the primary reason she resigned was more likely that she was given that opportunity to do so as it looks better on her resume' than 'terminated from employment'.
Profit margins - continuing clientele - positive reputation = continued success of MSL and The Red Hen in particular. What Wilkinson did was to take her personal political opinion and make a statement with it using her position as restaurant owner and executive director of the MSL. She clearly overlooked the importance of 'economic revitalization' and 'cultural vitality' for her more pressing virtues of intolerance and bigotry.
So, again, let this be a lesson. If you think that being affiliated with a political viewpoint means you can conduct yourself towards others you disagree with with impunity and without consequence, think again.

Main Street Lexington is not the restaurant.

If I came into a restaurant with a group of me and my biker friends and started shouting at you and your family while you were having dinner would you be okay with it?
I have had this happen to me. Personally I didn't like it but I will never want to take away a persons freedom to challenge me when I upset them.
Long story, short. It was a southern conservative church group that did this to me when I was 16 because I was wearing a whitezombie shirt that had 666 on it.
Apparently it wasn't irrelevant or she wouldn't be resigning?

What "employment" would she have been terminated from in a voluntary position at a volunteer-based organization?

Her position as a restaurant owner was used as she refused service to Sanders, but her position with the MSL was irrelevant. She didn't have any power to refuse Sanders service anywhere beyond her own restaurant's front door.
I see....thanks for the clarity. Im running on one hour of sleep

No, I have not and would not do that.
All my cloths were band shirts back then.
I was eating alone at a burger king when it happened.
I never even met or talked or cared about those people.

It was at that point that I ran .
I live in a huge christian town. The biggest most expensive building here is a christian high school.
I got harassed by christians and cops throughout all of my teenage years.
