I saw it on FOX news. He didn't get outraged with his comments but you could tell he wasn't happy with the outcome. He seemed like a smart businessman to me.

It would be cool to get a bunch of buds together and go eat there. Wait until we get our food, then everyone whip out MAGA hats, just to see what happens.

They had a voicemail message over the weekend, saying "If you are a Trump supporter, or smell like a trump supporter, we will kick you out like we did Sanders. F*** Trump."

So I think we know where those inbreds stand..

LEXINGTON, Va. - Stephanie Wilkinson has resigned from her role with Main Street Lexington, a volunteer-based organization.

Elizabeth Outland Branner, the president of the organization, accepted Wilkinson's resignation Tuesday morning.

"Considering the events of the past weekend, Stephanie felt it best that for the continued success of Main Street Lexington, she should step aside," Branner wrote in an email.

Wilkinson came under fire after asking White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to leave her restaurant, The Red Hen, on Friday night.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

IMO, the primary reason she resigned was more likely that she was given that opportunity to do so as it looks better on her resume' than 'terminated from employment'.

Profit margins - continuing clientele - positive reputation = continued success of MSL and The Red Hen in particular. What Wilkinson did was to take her personal political opinion and make a statement with it using her position as restaurant owner and executive director of the MSL. She clearly overlooked the importance of 'economic revitalization' and 'cultural vitality' for her more pressing virtues of intolerance and bigotry.

So, again, let this be a lesson. If you think that being affiliated with a political viewpoint means you can conduct yourself towards others you disagree with with impunity and without consequence, think again.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Main Street Lexington is not the restaurant.
You missed the point. She resigned from Lexington because of the furor she created. And yes, she apparently didn't think it through when she took that action.

If I came into a restaurant with a group of me and my biker friends and started shouting at you and your family while you were having dinner would you be okay with it?

I have had this happen to me. Personally I didn't like it but I will never want to take away a persons freedom to challenge me when I upset them.

Long story, short. It was a southern conservative church group that did this to me when I was 16 because I was wearing a whitezombie shirt that had 666 on it.
And naturally you weren't trolling the church when you w

No, I have not and would not do that.

All my cloths were band shirts back then.

I was eating alone at a burger king when it happened.

I never even met or talked or cared about those people.

What "employment" would she have been terminated from in a voluntary position at a volunteer-based organization?

Her position as a restaurant owner was used as she refused service to Sanders, but her position with the MSL was irrelevant. She didn't have any power to refuse Sanders service anywhere beyond her own restaurant's front door.

Apparently it wasn't irrelevant or she wouldn't be resigning?

It was at that point that I ran .
I live in a huge christian town. The biggest most expensive building here is a christian high school.
I got harassed by christians and cops throughout all of my teenage years.

When I was 8, I had a t-shirt that said "I'm the one your mom warned you about".

But my mom wouldn't let me wear it.

Catch up.

OP claimed she was "using her position as restaurant owner and executive director of the MSL."

She wasn't using her position "as executive director of the MSL" to refuse service to Sanders. Her position with the MSL was irrelevant in that regard. She simply used her position as the restaurant's owner to refuse service to Sanders.

The resignation is likely just the organization trying to save face and distance themselves now that she's made an arse of herself and became a public distraction from their mission/goals.

People are often fired/resign due to irrelevant things like off-color Facebook and Twitter posts that have nothing to do with their job or performance at work. They aren't "using their positions" with any organization to do these things in their own free time, but once discovered it can reflect poorly on an organization/employer so they're let-go/resign.

The OP's claim was simply a silly attempt to sensationalize an already absurd situation.

If you own a small business, volunteer at the Salvation Army, and choose to pass out neo nazi flyers at your small business are you "using your position at the Salvation Army" to pass out neo nazi propaganda? No, of course not, but if what you're doing is discovered, then don't be surprised if the Salvation Army asks you to resign from your volunteering position with them.

The owner is paying for her a actions and so is her employees. The place has been closed and now wont be open until july 5th. Many do not see her actions as appropriate. She jas killed her business.

Without the brain constantly computing as a visual processor, the visual information we receive through our eyes would remain a chaotic, jumpy mess. Corrective neurological mechanisms account for our eyes’ movements. Visual memory and attention work together to allow a fluid transition from one source of information to the next.

Not just hers. Other restaurants share the name and are feeling the burn, but aren't even the same entity.
