I'm going to predict that in less than 5 years we will see NK become the next cheap labor pool for major companies. Nike, Apple etc will build factories there as corporations look for the next place to produce cheaper. The reason why I say this is there is already a huge logistical infrastructure in SK to support this and Trump being the businessman that he is what else can you dangle in front of Kim that could suggest 100 of billions as his country also comes out of the nightmare it has been in for 70 years.

When I heard he discussed economic development of Norks beaches, I had a pretty good idea of the types of hotels, golf courses and casinos he was envisioning.

I bet it will the Vegas of Asia soon.

I would watch, something tells me that the long game is to end the initial Korean confict, signing and getting the USA to remove/reduce the troops there and then once that happens, strike when the south is at its most vulnerable and proceed with the conquering of the South, leaving the US out of it, unable to act or stop it.

You give Kim and NK too much credit....

But realistically, what do think is actually going to happen?

To be honest I don't think Kim has communism expansion as part of his great plan. Also, not just the US but the world would come down hard on him, and whether we are there or not we can be there extremely quickly. Kim would not survive the ordeal.

Rodman will open up the first McD and Kim will give him total monopoly over all McDs in the country... Soon Obama will take credit for all this too...

Not much will change-the Chinese regime (read Dictatorship) won't allow unification.

I think the same but different: Korea will become a massive country due to the insane amount of natural resources it contains.

I don't think there will be unification, no need, but the borders could be open between the two countries like EU is, but that would be a good while down the road.

That's my contention as well, within the last few years they've been expanding on foreign ownership, they just want/need to come into the world's fold. They already produce a lot of goods, having to go through China as the middleman greatly decreases the value that gives them. Let's be honest to be a part of the world he doesn't have to give all his people emaculate lives, just allow for the potential to be there, that will still improve his livelihood overall and be seen as a compromise to his people.

Really? After all we gave the leader of North Korea what he wanted and a promise to boot. A photo op, along with a few choice video for them to show to their people. They also got a US President to accept them as equal, that gives the government of North Korea one more step for being recognized and legitimate. And the promise of no war games this year, that is what they want.

I am seeing another renaissance, this time technological, and we absolutely need Russia, USA, UK, and a few others.

His millions starving army and millions starving population may get a glimpse of the reaality outside NK-and maybe, with their emaciated poor bodies, either revolt or demand change. Even a possible division in NK and Little Kim could be their saving grace.

Any cracks that can be built upon to show the poor NK people of the misery they live may be enough to force Kim's stronghold to collapse and usher in huge amounts of humanitarian support for the dying and starving NKs.

Boy we gave up a lot lol... Not... Once again it is a process, the Berlin Wall was two years negotiating and we are already talking about Trump's failures are we not after 3.5 hours...lol come on...sit back and eat some popcorn then come talk about it in 6 months.

BTW the war games were always about political positioning... We really do not need that much of training being at war for the last 17 years...lol
