James Comey threw McCabe Under the Bus in mid-April.

Now McCabe wants to get even.

Apparently, CNN has obtained a copy of the letter from McCabe's attorney to Senator Grassley.

Just how does CNN get this stuff!? And why are they allowed to get this stuff???

Here is an article with the actual letters between Grassley and McCabe's attorney. Normally, such letters are boring, but there are interesting paragraphs in these.

theconservativetreehouse.com...
Essentially, McCabe is saying that he wants immunity, but won't disclose in advance how much he does or does not know. i.e. No immunity = no potential for blockbuster information.

Grassley also said today that he's summoning Lynch and Comey before his Senate committee.

CNN is prolific with filing legal "Information Requests". A judge turned them down last week for some documents related to how the FBI spying on Trump started. Just read today that CNN filed an FOIA (?) request for info on Puerto Rico relief efforts. They're always digging for anything that can hurt the Trump administration. CNN is NOT pro-America.

Great information in that link Care, thank you!

So McCabe doesn't have the emails! But he claims the
current FBI does have them?

So what exactly does McCabe have to offer then?
Anything?

And he has a record of lying to boot, wth?

McCabe is playing a game. As the letter states, he was charged with a really small crime. Maybe no jail time at all. But he doesn't want to take that chance.

McCabe is prepared to tell what he knows, in exchange for keeping a clean record, with no criminal charges showing up. McCabe's isn't an old goat nearing the end of his life, like Brennan and Clapper. He still wants (and needs to be) gainfully employed somewhere.

Since the charge against him is nothing major, the Feds won't lose much by granting him immunity...regardless of what McCabe knows or doesn't know.

Breaking news reports that ahead of the Senate hearings on the long
awaited DOJ Inspector General Report former FBI Deputy Director
Andrew McCabe is requesting immunity in exchange for his testimony.

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is set to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee soon,
but he apparently has made a request for immunity in exchange.

“Under the terms of such a grant of use immunity, no testimony or other information provided by Mr. McCabe could be used against him in a criminal case,” wrote Michael Bromwich, a lawyer for McCabe, to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, who has requested McCabe testify next week.

www.mediaite.com...

Apparently, CNN has obtained a copy of the letter from McCabe's attorney to Senator Grassley.

McCabe has been referred to the DOJ for criminal prosecution by the IG.
His attorneysclaim he can provide emails that contradict James Comey's
testimony. Comey, along with Lynch have both been invited to testify
in this June 11th hearing.

It seems there are several takes on this, one would be that McCabe
has not worked out a deal yet and faces prosecution from one
referral already made. Another would be he is worried about other
implications from the upcoming report.

Maybe playing Russian Roulette has turned out to be very dangerous?

Stay tuned, things are heating up, soon and very soon.

Update:

Grassley wrote to the FBI Tuesday requesting that McCabe be released from a nondisclosure agreement that prevents him from providing those emails, among other records.

Well...we all know how this worked out with the others that were granted immunity.

Likely the same outcome here.

They always seem to have a way out. I think if he is granted immunity and lies then that immunity is taken away.....I think this may be the only way to get them in the end.

Problem was the others were granted immunity.

Let him plead the 5th.

Why should he get a pass for lying to the FBI 3 times?

They can say F U we got you anyway.

This is what news agencies do. They did it under Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan.... Its nothing new to Trump nor is it anti-American.

He's basically saying that he either gets immunity for anything he reveals or he is going to plead the 5th.

Let's be fair here - he may just be concerned about getting snagged by a process crime.

The news reports are claiming the immunity is only from the testimony itself.

This is exactly what everyone testifying needs.

Does McCabe have anything new to bargain with?

Isn't it the other way around?

There were closed door sessions today, Bill Preistap testified.

According to reports, Priestap threw Peter Strzok under the bus during his closed-door testimony. But Andrew McCabe is neck-deep in all of this too. I think this is a last-second Hail Mary pass by McCabe, because he is likely facing charges of perjury, and possibly obstruction of justice.

It is almost certainly the former. There is no mention of testimony contradicting Comey in the portion of the message quoted on CNN.

I think that would be stupid think about it. He was fired for lying and you want to take his testimony as fact to go after who? What bigger fish Comey if this plays out like I think it will hes all ready in trouble. I think at this point it's safe to say a lot of corruption going on in the FBI

Well, expand your veiwing to look at the letters between Grassley,
and McCabe's lawyer. Or is that a no no to look at an actual source,
must you always rely on CNN?

Yep, and leaks about the IG report coming down the pike say
Andy gets raked over the coals again.

The OP did not quote CNN, it quoted a second hand source that introduced its own bias. I did due diligence by checking what CNN actually said. Do you have direct access to the letters in question, or are you relying on secondary sources?
