To each their own buddy. I’m still confused as to why women are physically attracted to men in the first place.
Lol!

Desert island few years though bud, but luckily nobody gets lost like that anymore

Yeah, that's kinda what the OP was about...

People don't need each other. There is no family unit anymore, for better or for worse.

It's a brave new world. Lap it up.

That's part of it, but I don't think it's in the way you're expecting. A lot of people in this group thought that just existing and being themselves would make them accepted and desired. The problem is, these people also didn't work on themselves in order to be desired. Poor social skills, poor attitudes, unrealistic expectations, and in my opinion social media isn't helping either. That's making people feel unwanted, and then with ideas like feminism, independence, and in general a society that's moving away from the idea of keeping women subservient and dependent on men, and these people simply feel like they have no place left in the world.

That's why they're such a target for radicalization. It's the same mentality most of ISIS has actually.

Is happiness the metric we should be using though? Children who play with toys all day and never grow up are very happy, but that's not healthy.

How old are you? Im 38 and I can tell you that any woman near my age absolutely do fall into the majority category I speak of. I suspect you’re a little older. It’s the generation X and mellinials I speak of.

And yes, I fall into the category of a father who had his two kids taken away from him by a psociopath. They are Beings raised 11 months of the year by crazy. Oh yeah, my ex didn’t have a father either. Men are expendable to women in my age group. ‘The majority’ just looking for a meal ticket coupled with endless fantasies.

If you consider women expendable, just a piece of ass, then you got what you deserve.

Ironically, to further my point, being a conspiracy theorist is one of the biggest signs of an unhappy beta male. They talk about it in many MGTOW videos. Always trying to find a problem with everything, to distract from ones own unhappy life.

So what you're implying here, is that you and every other man on ATS are "unhappy beta males". Irony indeed.
What of female conspiracy theorists, what label applies to them? There has to be one, this whole thread has more labels than the grocery store.

A decade isn’t squat. I was happily married, or so I thought for 27 years. I came home one day from work and my wife tells me she filed for divorce, the reason being she said we were going in “different directions”. Luckily both our kids are adult age so no custody battles or child support. I have absolutely no interest in getting into another relationship. When I want to take care of business, I call an escort service. It’s a lot cheaper in the long run than investing time and money in another exhausting relationship.

It sounds to me like you missed a simple truth in life. Nothing is permanent. Many people try to make temporary arrangements permanent, but such a thing is impossible. Eventually you will grow apart, and there's nothing wrong with that. If you get into a relationship, then you must also accept that either through death, cheating, or disinterest you will eventually break up.

Random thought, but maybe look for women with the same financial sense as you?

While a marriage cerimony alone wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, I do think a healthier start to married life is to get married in a courthouse for $25, hold a SMALL party for close friends/family at your home afterwards, and use the savings towards a new home to start your new life.

(plus she's smoking hot)

You had to do the male bragging thing (my **** is bigger/better then yours) and ruin a good post.

I can apologize for being a dick, or for hurting your feelings, but I won't apologize for stating my wife is beautiful to me.
I think perhaps you need a bit of introspection rather than explanation. Educate before you masticate.
(TLDR_ don't be that guy)

That’s not what I’m implying. I’m implying that if you’re spending copious amounts of time on conspiracy websites (which I have in the past) then you need to find something more positive and live your life. I’ve lived both lives, a Jeckyl - Hyde. The extroverted side always trumps with happiness. Beta = introverted = not good for me

It is ironic I found this site in 2009 when all the # really started for me.

Today 1 in 4 children under the age of 18 — a total of about 17.2 million — are being raised without a father.3

That's because it's a lot more profitable for women to divorce their husbands.

Boys trying to just be themselves. That is just horrible. How will they ever get a worthwhile mate with that type of defeatist attitude? They need to work on themselves. They need to lift. Do you lift bro? They need to make themselves worthwhile. Not worthwhile in their eyes, but in the eyes of a potential mate. They need to mold themselves. They need to learn the attitude and methods of the snake oil salesman. They need to be SMOOOOOOTTTTHHHHH with the ladies. If they don't have confidence, just fake it right?

I mean, what the hell? Being comfortable with themselves? How will they ever score with that attitude?

These poor boys being led to the slaughter with brainwashing similar to ISIS. You did say ISIS didn't you?

Your statement is very callous. You have your kids taken away. Then be told you have to pay outrageous sums of money — just to not be there to watch your kids grow up, while they’re being raised by a psociopath.

I’m sorry, this is a pretty big deal. If the father didn’t care, then they could just go MIA. The thing is, we do care.

The courts ARE unfair. The reason for this = the state doesn’t want to pay for a woman’s inadequacies through welfare, food, stamps, healthcare, etc.. It’s the mans job to pay for those, even after the relationship is over. It’s total BS!

The courts aren't biased towards women, it's that they leave the children in the care of whoever takes care of them more often than not. If you're working all day, the mom is there providing care. The courts seek to maintain that relationship through a divorce. Why should you suddenly get the kid? You're working all day anyways.

Are you sure you were a good father? If you were, maybe she wouldn't have left? If you were, maybe the courts would have seen that?

He has a point though, if you have money then there must be a temptation for one partner to try take a slice, especially when lawyers are saying 'go for it' to screw every last penny.

If there's no kids, and no marriage (or you get a pre nup) your assets are secure.
