You seem to not understand what has taken place here. First of all it better be some serious stuff taking place if the federal government is sticking a mole in presidential candidates campaign. That alone is a major problem. You say there is nothing illegal about sticking an informant when investigating a possible crime, that is true IF THERE IS ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO DO SO. What you dont seem to understand is that we are slowly finding out that there NEVER was enough evidence to warrant what the federal agencies have done. The lies to the FISA courts and the omission of evidence provided to these judges for the spying is something out of a novel. The amount of things that have taken place here to pin this on DJT is beyond explainable and beyond just pushing this off as some "investigation" trust me this was an investigation on the " outside" inside of it, and (mark my words) will go down as one of the biggest scandals in US election history. This will dwarf Watergate and what has taken place here should worry any American. This is absolutely an epic problem unfolding before us.

Clapper needs to be corrected. The FBI mole wasn't really SPYING on Trump, says the New York Times..as it back-peddles from the big "scoop" it published yesterday..

President Trump accused the F.B.I. on Friday, without evidence, of sending a spy to secretly infiltrate his 2016 campaign “for political purposes” even before the bureau had any inkling of the “phony Russia hoax.”

In fact, F.B.I. agents sent an informant to talk to two campaign advisers only after they received evidence that the pair had suspicious contacts linked to Russia during the campaign. The informant, an American academic who teaches in Britain, made contact late that summer with one campaign adviser, George Papadopoulos, according to people familiar with the matter.

He also met repeatedly in the ensuing months with the other aide, Carter Page, who was also under F.B.I. scrutiny for his ties to Russia.

They have no choice now but to twist the whole thing.

But wait till it comes out there was 5 FBIspys and a dozen DNC operators and Trump pegged every one of them "at the time".

Ya don't win a Presidential election against the strongest and richest Campaign in history with luck.

I wonder how much of the "gathered" info they got was planted by the Trump Campaign to throw them off then and NOW?

And it's possible the Trump Campaign was actually collecting their own intel.

Lots of people going down for it as we have been seeing.

😃🎁

These Trump operatives needed surveillance/investigation. They were a risk to US security.

Given that GOP registration is down, don't count on millions of GOP votes.

I got a notice on my phone to let me know that it wasn't a spy and it's all good. www.nytimes.com...

I was looking back again and having a hard time understanding why Papadapolous was on the FBI radar in the first place. It's seems that the only reason is that he knew some Russians but if that's it, then they should have put moles in the Clinton campaign. So why is this not politically motivated again?

Papadapolous denied any knowledge of Russian hacking. Everyone always tries to make it seem like he admitted that they were working with the Russians. From the nytimes article

Over drinks and dinner one evening at a high-end London hotel, the F.B.I. informant raised the subject of the hacked Democratic National Committee emails that had spilled into public view earlier that summer, according to a person familiar with the conversation. The source noted how helpful they had been to the Trump campaign, and asked Mr. Papadopoulos whether he knew anything about Russian attempts to influence the 2016 presidential election. Mr. Papadopoulos replied that he had no insight into the Russian campaign — despite being told months earlier that the Russians had dirt on Mrs. Clinton in the form of thousands of her emails. His response clearly annoyed the informant, who tried to press Mr. Papadopoulos about what he might know about the Russian effort, according to the person. The assistant also raised the subject of Russia and the Clinton emails during a separate conversation over drinks with Mr. Papadopoulos, and again he denied he knew anything about Russian attempts to disrupt the election.

I wonder who this assistant was. If it was a foreigner, is that legal?

Papadapolous was a DNC operative (one of quite a few).

That's why he was stupid.

They tried to get oppo, as Fredo Trump said "I love it." Success doesn't matter. Capice?

Obviously there is no dirt on Hillary to be had since she is not dirty. But the Trump's, being quite dirty, see everyone else as sleazy as themselves.

Wait. Wasn't it this guy that said there was no spying on the Trump campaign? But now he flat out admits it. Nice.

'Member when we were ALL (Trump too) laughed at for stating that the Trump campaign was being illegally spied on?

As usual Trump is proven right and his opponents are exposed for the lying scumbah that they are.

Clapper for Gitmo 2018!

You do realize this isn't illegal right? We put moles into drug gangs all the time and you don't need approval to do so. This still isn't wiretapping. But hey, I'm not surprised we are yet AGAIN trying to move the goal posts back on the whole wiretapping issue.

So the RICO act will be brought up?

Kinda need a crime to do that, right?

What was the crime?

Seems to me he should have put moles in the Kremlin first.

Another suicide by Trump.

New York Times is so guilty of SOMETHING, that their own story about the Trump Spy/Mole is flawed beyond belief!

Check this...

According to The Times, the FBI and CIA were using Halper to protect candidate Trump from the Russians. Yes, that’s their story and they’re sticking to it.

However, from that angle: Are they currently investigating candidate Trump for failing to collude in the Russian efforts they were attempting to protect him from? [[[D’oh]]] Yup, the special counsel is an ongoing effort to keep protecting President Trump… or something.

AGAIN. Trump's original claim was that he was illegally wiretapped. That didn't happen. You know it. I know it. Pointing out an undercover agent isn't anything CLOSE to that claim and whining about it is just moving the goal posts.

Well, for one thing it´s the first conclusion one comes to when your information is leaked out. Wiretapping. It´s way more easier than putting some spy on your campaign.

So naturally this is the first conclusion, wiretaps. Than you obfuscate now because it was actual humans who did the spying, is clutching on straws.

At the end of the day, you don´t care, as long as it does not hit you or your favorite political side. That´s one hell of a bad trait!!!

WTF do you call that dossier hillary and the DNC paid $12 mil for on DJT?

Remember Pig Pen from Peanuts? He's could be hillary's son.

Can't plant spies in an opposition candidate's camp.

Altho according to Clapper, precedent is set now.

So hold on to your hats!

Aussie govt let Downer sit with the FBI.

So obama and kerry knew about all of this.

Was kerry on that cuban plane?

Seasoned prosecutors say that the most effective strategy is to start low on the totem pole, and cut deals with guilty parties, to work your way up to the ring leaders.

(CNN says that's what Mueller's doing. But we know better don't we!)

Wow, tried to read the first page and I couldn't quite do it. How can the left defend this? It's like we're in Fing Bizzaro World. I thought that many of us assumed Paul Manafort was the mole and the Popadapulus revelations put him on the list as well. It would seem that these two were guilty of tampering at the least. The FBI hasn't actually defended their reason for a spy, but the brainwashed left whole heartedly applauds their attempt to undermine elections in this country. Russian colusion? Maybe the right can think of a new catch phrase to capture their mind, or at least one to break the spell. Corruption, sedition, and treason seem to have no affect.
