Bigger than Watergate.

Obumbler's legacy library may just end up being an outhouse after all.

Since when was an informant relaying information to law enforcement spying?

Since it was a counter intelligence operation and not a criminal one.

Since when was spying on an American citizen spying, you mean...

I bet you your mental gymnastics since Nov 20 2016 have changed you to the point that you have to screw your socks on in the morning.

What? An informant is not a spy. Similar as they both give information to others but are very different things.

Yes they are!

C'mon now sparky, use that brain!!!!

Are you saying that the Obama administration did not spy on American citizens for political reasons?

In the context of this story I am. A person can turn informant after the fact. A person doesnt have to be put there by the FBI to become an informant.

So you honestly don't believe that Obama and Co spied on American citizens for political reasons?

I never said anything about Obama and CO spying on american citizens hence me qualifying my statement with "in this context"

FYI those same groups are now spying on the American people for Trump, but you dont seem to give a damn about that.

Got proof?

And so f'n what if they are?!

Oh, you could just type out what you mean instead of memes. It would help people take you seriously.

Right spies are spies...

FBI are law enforcement not spies.

I dont know how much more clear it can be made for you.

The idiocy is astounding. It was not a spy it was an informant therefore it was all ok.

Maybe they were just a snitch?

When there is no evidence of crimes to begin with and you still want to look anyways you hire a spy.

When you don't want people to understand you had no legal justification to do so, you call them an informant.

See how that works now?

Good.

Wait you can prove that there is no evidence of crimes?

FYI we dont know if the informant was a plant or not. We just know that he talked to 2 people in the campaign. He also could have turned informant AFTER he talked to them. The whole point I have been trying to make which seems to have gone over nearly everyone's head is they dont know # and are trying to make it something they have no evidence for.

Its very possible but notice how nearly everyone in this thread jumped straight to ITS A SPY! talking point that is coming straight from Trump Twitter.

Lol. We have an informant that was spying on the campaign in a counterintelligence operation---where does that leave us?

We have John Brennan of the CIA peddling a dirty dossier compiled by a foreign national ex-spy gathering information and doing business with Russians "connected to the Kremlin" all the while with Brennan directing Peter Strzok to go around his superior at the FBI (Bill Priestap) and using National Security Letters to spy on folk who haven't committed anything resembling collusion. The only collusion being what the "counterintel" peeps themselves were doing.

We have more foreign nationals--Halper, Downer, Mifsud, etc--firmly in the "spy" category doing "dirty up" work while Fusion GPS who actually is working with Russians to overturn the Magnitsky Act not only concocting the unverified dossier commissioned by Hillary & The DNC but meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya before and after the Trump Tower meeting and Glenn Simpson testifying he didn't know what the meeting with Natalia was about because he doesn't speak Russian.

All the while we have FISA abuse going on to include unmasking which was being accessed by contractors all while being widely-disseminated in an unprecedented manner. There's more but I'm tired of typing.

Hell...it's hard to figure out what to call it. Except grievous abuse of both National Security AND the Constitution.

That is easy to prove. They have no evidence of crimes. You know it, they know it, and everyone knows it.
Where is the evidence if there is some? Hiding with the elves at the north pole? Would this charade go on this long with zero evidence? No. You already know these people wanted Hillary to win, and these witch hunts were Obama's well exposed back up plan. What more do you need?

After being exposed to so much propagandized news and fake news these past few years has made it easier to see things at the lowest common denominator.

When I'm from, a snitch = spy.

Informant = spy

Wire my dog = spy

A spy by any other name...

The NYT report is not related to the upcoming IG report. The IG Report is focused on what the FBI/DOJ did to help Hillary Clinton. Not how Obama placed a spy in the Trump campaign, or spied on Trump campaign officials.

There's something else going on behind the scenes that prompted the NYT to reveal that the FBI placed a spy in the Trump campaign staff.

So during the presidential campaign both Trump and Clinton were being investigated by the FBI but one investigation was public and one was secret. Team Trump was able to use the FBI’s investigation against Clinton to attack her and Trump leading his rallies with constant chants of “Lock Her Up”. Then the FBI made headlines just before the election dropping a bombshell that they were reopening the investigation and conservatives cheered them on, but meanwhile the FBI’s investigation into Team Trump was held in secret.

If anything, you should be thanking the FBI for being so tight lipped and helping your Dear Leader get elected.

And for the record, I despise Hillary and never voted for her.

Did the FBI have spies imbedded in the Hillary campaign?
Nope... they were the ones breaking the law to get her off the hook in the investigation of her emails, as the DOJ IG report will show within a few weeks.
Edit to add:
They didn't think she would lose!

Forget the whole informant/spy crap.

The Democratic administration had an INFORMANT
inside the Republican nominee's campaign for POTUS...
Informing them of what was going on in the campaign.

How is that not worse than Watergate?

With an utter lack of evidence for this conspiracy, you're left to make up a goal and a motive.

An utter lack of evidence? What about all the FBI agents that have resigned or have been suspended. What about the "Insurance policy" spoken of by the two agents that just resigned? We don;t need to make up a goal or motive. It's pretty clear. Destroy Trump and the presidency. Get Trump out of office. Overturn a democratic election.

It's pretty clear something is up. The media is fully engaged in it as well. Unless you think it's normal to go from being the white house mouthpiece during the Obama administration to what we have now.

EDIIT: Where exactly is the evidence of a crime in Trump's case? I haven't seen any. Have you?

And what "fact" would that be? Still waiting for any solid evidence the Trump campaign was committing some kind of crime. Russian bots and pornstars don't cut it.
