Mossberg Becomes Second Firearms Company To Cut Off Dick's

Not that I think Dick's cares as they are not really a "sporting goods store" as much as an overpriced spandex and nike store but at least the manufactures are taking a public stand against these people.

O.F. Mossberg & Sons has become the second gunmaker to sever ties with Dick's Sporting Goods, and its subsidiary, Field & Stream, in response to their hiring of multiple gun control lobbyists

“It has come to our attention that Dick’s Sporting Goods recently hired lobbyists on Capitol Hill to promote additional gun control.” said Iver Mossberg, Chief Executive Officer of O.F. Mossberg & Sons. “Make no mistake, Mossberg is a staunch supporter of the U.S. Constitution and our Second Amendment rights, and we fully disagree with Dick’s Sporting Goods’ recent anti-Second Amendment actions.”

The move follows that of Springfield Armory, a major handgun and rifle manufacturer, which announced last week that it would several all ties with Dick's over the lobbyists. “Springfield Armory is severing ties with Dick’s Sporting Goods and its subsidiary, Field & Stream, in response to their hiring a group for anti-Second Amendment lobbying,”

Never knew Dick's was affiliated with Field and Stream. Never really cared for that mag anyways. I remember when I was 12 looking forward to my monthly Fur Fish and Game mag to arrive so I could read it on my 40 min bus ride to and from school!


Always loved Mossberg shotguns and glad to see them making a stand.

small caveat I'd like to point out. The US Constitution, and more so the Bill of Rights, which was an amendment there to, after the first document sucked so bad, are simply illustrating our Unalienable Rights.

Our right to bear arms, like all our rights, aren't derived from any piece of rotting paper, but by whatever god you choose. It maybe the end of one's life, but we can all exercise our *Natural Rights*.

Some Dicks are real big. Especially in rural areas. Entire section devoted to guns.

The last weapon I purchased, a short barrelled 12 gauge shot gun for home defense was purchased from Dick's! So yea, I was a patron at one point. So glad to know they are against my beliefs and they won't ever get another penny from me!

A lot of them seem to be cutting off Dicks these days. The whole situation is bonkers, makes me wonder the kind of numbers we will see.

Caitlyn Jenner cut off Dicks too, so Ive been told.

Last time I went to Dicks they had a lot of Mossberg shotguns. I guess Dicks will have some empty racks.

Here in the UK, we have no Dick's.
