Regardless of how McCain and Trump feel about each other, I wish McCain well and hope his last days are peaceful.

Even though Trump will not be invited to his funeral, or so goes the rumor, I'm sure Trump will be respectful and show his sympathies to the family.

I just heard " No Name " wrote in his book that he regretted picking her for a running mate, nice thing to say in his final days , he has no loyalty and has betrayed his Country. VERY TRUE! I served under Obama, my brothers still in have told me how everything has changed in the infantry. It’s gotten much better. We had all sorts of ridiculous legal storms under Obama dealing with personnel treatment that had been standard practice training for a century and they weaponized hazing charges. Got rid of a lot of good Marines who were “going places”. Marines who didn’t do anything truly wrong, but due to the rulings being slanted towards treating Marines like they needed to be protected and cushioned to the harsh reality that they had joined the Marines.

Dudes have told me things have gotten better. The purposefully soften of the Corps is going away and they feel their lethality has improved noticeably.

Nobody can deny that John McCain was (is) a powerful advocate for our men and women in the military. For that, I tip my hat to him.

I don't know the man personally, so I can't in good conscience bear a dying man any ill will, but I'm at least FAIRLY certain that I'm not alone in thinking that the man's cheese slid off his cracker many years ago.

I also think that he's a GREAT example of why we should seriously consider instituting term limits.

John McCain is still healthy enough to write a book. One excerpt from it says that he wishes he had chosen Joseph Lieberman as his 2008 V.P. running mate, instead of Sarah Palin.
