NASA-YOU can send YOUR name to the Sun!

Greetings fellow Space Enthusiasts!



For those that may be interested in this little, but intriguing opportunity: NASA is offering, for free, to include your name on a chip that will be mounted on to the Parker Solar Probe that will launched toward our one-and-only Star, Sol, the Sun -this summer.

A wonderful educational opportunity for kids, or just a chance to think and imagine as your OWN name, included on a space voyage, leaves the Earth...

Thanks for the heads up! Just added mine too, then maybe if some alien civilization finds it they can come and pick me up.

the Sun is God, so YES! Im sending my whole family to God in name, hopefully it will continue to shine and give us and all other life on the planet and solar system the opportunity to continue existing.

- Just submitted the names of my granddaughters.
- Put in their emailadresses in and send a second email to both explaining them what´s up with this.

If I die before they get 10 years old they will get the passwords for their email-accounts on my private server. If not, and that´s what I hope for, I can print every single email and show them what happened around during they were growing up. They get an email 1-2 weeks roughly with pictures and stories what happened.

I also noted that a member from the ATS forum "vinifalou" was the one who showed me this possibility. Maybe in 10-15 years from now, a teenage girl or two will thank you that you brought me to this idea, and that their names are now either in free space or resting in the sun forever

I find that the Sun is a place that is too hot in the summer for me to visit so I'll pass on this offer. Afterall I've already entered my name to go on a NASA mission to Mars.

If you do the same like I did, don´t forget to activate, submit and download the ticket. This almost went wrong...

I hear the mission is planned for a night time approach. So it should be ok.

I prefer to remain anonymous to the Sun.

I do hope it isn't some NASA voodoo or something where when our names burn we all light up also like spontaneous combustion.
