The bar won the lawsuit. They also claim he’s doing it for a publicity stunt and actually tipped.

Publicity or not a bar should not be able to refuse service for a specific hat or because of political affiliation this was America it Starting to look ww2 ish wanna live in that kind of reality?

The Happiest Hour denied that Piatek had been removed in the first place, stating Piatek “was sufficiently pleased with his service at the bar [and] that he added” a $36 tip onto the $186 tab, according to the New York Post. The bar owners suggest Piatek’s lawsuit was a “publicity stunt.”

There are many restaurants and establishments that have a dress code. Jacket and tie in many.
Shirt and shoes in most.
The owner can impose any dress code they want.

What would you do if it happens to you say...for the color red.. because of it's perceived affiliation..... What then?

Who wears trucker hat to an uptown bar? I'm actually surprised he wasn't told it was a dress code violation. That would have been a much more simple means of dealing with a wardrobe faux pas.
