Green door or green something?

Alright guys,

I can't seem to find this story anywhere now!! I thought it was the "The Green Door" but no searches are bringing it up. It was about a guy in 1986 that was talking with a guy from 1648? through his old computer. I found the story to be a great read, I know it was said the book is no longer in print and it sells used for over $200.00 online. I'm trying to find it for my buddy to read but all searches come up empty. This was supposed to be a true story the author experienced with his wife also. The computer would some how shift into time in the same English house that the guy in the 1600's lived in.

I brought that video tape in for sex-ed class because the phys-ed teacher who had our class had no idea what it was. I think we got about 1 minute in before he flipped his schizz and sent me to visit El Prinicpale.

Damn, I was hoping OP would stumble upon that revelation and enjoy the humor. We did that with Fast times at Ridgemont High. When Pheobe Cates was showing the blonde chick how to give a hummer, the teacher got pissed and pulled the plug on our movie. That movie along with Better off Dead were two of the greats.

I had to look that word up in Google : A type of four-wheel-drive all-terrain military vehicle, or a similar vehicle intended for civilian use.
