Been hearing about some rumblings in the Ukraine but can't find anything on it yet.

The 'yea we did it and it's over' can't be taken for much.

yeah what they advertise and put on the news is over but..........

Like I told Zaph.....i get we cant tell everyone whats going on, but the dishonesty is telling.......so if there is retaliation the public at large will only be aware of "Oh they retaliated to missle strikes that hit nothing"

What they dont know is we did much more ......

Eh, just gonna watch to see what develops

In another thread I actually had an individual ask me why I was for a war with Syria after repeated posts illustrating my disgust.

It's almost like they're reading a script.

Look I feel I need to mention there are definitely pro trump hypocrites on this as well.

But I am amazed at the arrogance of the left wing anti trumpers.

I have been posting for almost a year now true liberals like Jimmy dore and glenn greenwald (who I disagree with on many things btw) saying that it was a msitake for the left wing to cheer for the deep state just cause they hated trump, and how this would lead to more wars,; possibly even the big one with russia.

And it was ignonored, condemned, or laughed at.

And now those very same people are acting horrified that trumped launched this attack.

We told them over and over!

I am sick of war! I am sick of regime changes.

Vietnam, afghanaistan, yeman, libya, iraq, and on and on.

But no; these leftists, the party of peace, they wanted this war. Hillary announced it quite clearly. Obama pushed it.

And they couldnt have trump ruin those plans (along with their partners the establishment republicans).

I made psots on here how it was disgusting that the only thing CNN, NYT, MSNBC, etc praised trump on was when he would talk harsh about syria or russia, and how they (along with fox) would flip out when trump talked about peace with russia and syria.

yet still the party of peace pushed for escalation.

I really believe most of them are so ignorant that they honostly didnt know that they were cheering for a push to war.

They just read their talking points and parrot them

But now, tonight, when what had been told to them all year happens, instead of relflecting on how they cheered for this; they continiue to parrot talking points.

All; that matters to them is trump looking bad. If he wants [peace, he is hutler. If he wants war, he is hitler.

And if people have to die to make trump look bad; oh well. It could help them in the midterms, so those deaths are worth it.

This is interesting. 1511 and 0094 are all the way down by Italy now. They just popped back on the map slightly south of Rome, still up above the refueling track.

The fact that you smugly try to act like I or others that have supported trump that are calling him out on this are somehow hypocrites shows you are either ignorant almsot beyond comprehansion or such a partisan hacck that you actually cheered for trump to get in to a war and kill innocent people just so you could score political points.

It seems since I see hypocrisy in Donald Trumps statements about Syria and some people who support him it means I cheered for Trump to get into a war and kill innocent people.

What the actual hell.

Oh maybe you missed the thread aiuthored by YOU I posted, calling trump attenmpt at descalation with russia shady an an indication fo him being a putin puppet or something.

And you had a litanty of other posts cheering on the intel agendcies war against trump.

Again, I will assume you are jusrt ignorant.,

Just know this; some of us knew the intel agencies hated trump because he might put a pause on their regime change planes; and we refused to cheer them on with no evidence in their attempts to take down trump.

You cheered them on.

So enjoy your war.

It's really unreal how this is somehow the fault of liberals, people who warned about Trump being a warmonger, and pretty much anyone else who isn't responsible for it. I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't that.

Really?

I get you're upset and wanting to put blame somewhere, I'd suggest you put it where it belongs. On the people actually responsible for this. And Trump throwing a few missiles at Syria a week after he warns the world doesn't end the possibility of collusion. Not by a long shot.

To launch a unified strike such as this and act as if there would be no response would be foolish.

Suffice it to say that I'm of the opinion that they are very much anticipating a response if not continuing on the offensive until one is made.

They have assets in the air watching for anything coming their way, as well as ready to launch on the ground.

I was against any action in Syria when Obama was president, I haven't changed my position with Trump.

The use of chemical weapons is a horrible thing. But we can't jump like a Pavlovian dog every time a tragedy occurs on the planet.

Who exactly is the "deep state" that is making Trump do anything? Is Trump not the President of the United States and the Command-in-Chief of the United States military?

Has he not appointed a full roster of advisors? Has he not appointed men to led the intelligence agencies? Did somebody jam a cabinet down his throat?

How is this different from Obama that in your estimation, Obama and his admin were apparently one and the same with the "deep state" but Trump is a victim who is being manipulated?

It's like you're admitting that Trump is unfit to be President.

From what is being reported Mattis tried to get him to scale back the attack. I'm just wondering who specifically is to blame for Trump's actions since he's not.

Come on man!

If I'm not mistaken, Rex Tillerson's position was that Assad needed to be removed Russia and Iran needed to have their influence checked. That doesn't sound radically different from the Obama admin. Is Tillerson "deep state?" Is John Bolton, the new unhinged war monger Nat Sec Advisor "deep state?" No. In fact, the establishment had shunned John Bolton and the most likely reason he got the job is because of his ties to Mercer and Bannon.

How many holdovers do you think are left advising Trump? Nobody in the senior advisor spots. Nobody in the cabinet. I'm seriously trying to figure out the logistics of this excuse a number of Trump supporters are making for Trump.

For the record, even though Assad is a piece of # and the Russians and Iranians are both consistent bad actors who should be contained where possible, I didn't support military intervention in Syria in the first place. There was some justification in strikes against ISIS but the reality is propping up the "rebels" is what facilitated them in the first place.

The idea of regime change in Syria was ill-conceived from the jump. Assad's allies are way more interested in keeping him in power than we were in actually taking him out and there's no foundation for a pro-Western democratic regime among the rebels to replace him. I'd say it's a trap but it's more of a self-inflicted wound.

But please, stop trying to figure out how Trump doesn't own tonight's bad decision. The buck stops with him and if he's incapable of governing, he should resign. And maybe you wouldn't have to worry about him being so easily led by his nose if he was actually concerned with getting up to speed and not getting by on bull#ting and regurgitating Fox News talking heads.

Only a complete fool would launch such an attack and not have contingency plans in place for a retaliation. Doesn't mean one is coming; just means we want to be ready should one come.

I am putting the blame where it belongs; on trump.

And on the deep state and establiushgment that pushed for this over and over and over again.,

And I am calling out people like you that cheered for this.

Tell me, where in your thread about trump possibly lowering sanctioons on russia did you mention trump being a warmonger? Ohg thats right, you were saying the opposite; that trumps descalation somehow proved he was in cahoots with russia.

But fitting for you to say that this doesnt prove he didnt collude with russia.

I guess you will need trump to nuke russia and then call him a monster for you to be statisfied that he is not a russian stooge.

But hey, whats a hundred million deaths when it comes to you cheering for your team?

What's unreal is that the opposing 'team' to Trump can't seem to grasp that these actions today are exactly what you were by default for.

Until the recent gas attack Trump had to negotiate withdrawing from Syria. Trumps actions today are a surprise and letdown as in folks that supported him opposed prolonged actions in Syria.

And Trump throwing a few missiles at Syria a week after he warns the world doesn't end the possibility of collusion. Not by a long shot.

So Putin, through Trump, wanted these missiles in Syria.
Sounds legit.

Absolutely.

Given the information Zaph is providing, it would seem like there is much more activity that just executing a contingency plan.

However, that's my perspective.

More aircraft assets involved than they wanted to admit to, until they're all on the ground. I'm thinking it might have been 4-5 heavies out of the US, coming from the West. Either that, or there's something we don't know about heading in to do the damage assessment, and they're going to need a lot of fuel both in and out.

I have an idea of something that might be involved in doing assessment, and if it is, the tanker layout makes perfect sense.
