for me the card is more important than the pistol.

You could always move to a state with legal MJ. Then you can get the same thing and not lose your right to own a firearm.

Very nice...like at least one other has said, I love the way that the Walther PPKs fit in my hand. If I recall correctly (it's been a while since I handled one), the slide almost has a cammed feel, where it gets easier as you pull it farther back.

I do like them--enjoy it!

Depend on what type of gun control for which you advocate, especially if you get a firearm "from a buddy" and didn't fill out 'the form' and go through the NICS background check nor through an FFL for the purchase.

Gun control comes in two flavours: controlling who can have guns, and controlling what guns people can have.

I would say that the majority of universal rights advocates accept the first flavour but on an individual basis: you always start from the premise that everyone has the right to a firearm, though on an individual may lose that right (ie, going to prison). Contrast this to my country (UK) where nobody has the right to a firearm until proven otherwise.

The second flavour is where the majority of people have their real issue. The government "trusts" me to own a revolver with a long barrel; if the barrel was an inch shorter, it would become illegal. If you "trust" me with a firearm, then "trust" me with all of them. If I'm not going to shoot someone with a revolver, I'm not going to shoot them with a slightly smaller revolver either.

All that aside, nice looking Walther in the OP. If semis ever get back on the list in the UK, I'll be after an old school PPK. Not a big fan of the newer Walther "chunky monkey" look.
