StarWars E:9 script leaks (possible spoilers) JJs back. So it’s a ESB copy/paste.

Just watched a second video and it was a totally different script..

All might be garbage..

Obviously, this is not confirmed, but appearently the scripts leaked befor episode 8 were accurate. So everyone is assuming this one is too.

First off, assuming it is legit. You can tell JJ is back...

It is just a carbon copy of empire strikes back/return of the Jedi..

For all the critisism of TLJ at least it made bold and unexpected choices.. now it appears they are returning to the episode 7 theme of “hey let’s just copy the first trilogy”...

And it stinks for it imho.. sure they could pull it off SOOOO WELL, that it works, but damn..


A) they bring back another star killer base.. just what everyone wanted... another deathstar.. for the 4th time...

B) again a major part of the movie is destroying the “shield generators”.. again for the 3rd time.... no wait.. rogue one was trying to drop the shield generators too.. for the 4th time ...

C) rey and Kylo duel and rey takes both his hands. Cuts them off I mean.. which would be at least 3 times the protagonist/antagonist has lost a hand.. we know this universe can replace them so no one cares...

D) ramming the ship into the dreadnaught last movie worked so well. That’s how they drop the shield generator in the end..

E) Rey did steal the Jedi books, but instantly trades them for the new Death Stars location.. to the thief who screwed them last movie..

F) again their every plan sux and is thwarted.. their every plan this whole trilogy goes horribly wrong, but they are saved by a dues ex mechana at the end..

G) no new mention of Rey’s parents..

H) no mention of snoke..


I) plasma returns, but who cares about plasma anyway?!?!

Nobody..



I thought super leia was a joke , the casino scene was useless, and they shouldn’t have killed Luke, but the movie was bold.. it went in a fairly new direction and expanded the universe.. appearently now though we are back to JJ.

After watching the last jedi fiasco I have little hope this one will be anything but another social justice platform. That and the plot was just plain awful.

I have a feeling that solo, the man that was a scoundrel, will rescue a ship full of puppies in his movie. We shall see.

Wish I was excited and copy and pasting material Is JJs bread a butter. The trilogy is dead to me after TLJ. I would have been happier with fan service from JJ the entire movie rather then a plot hole joke that was episode 8. Biggest beef being Luke being a coward not willing to save his sister or best friends.

Also saving Vader but wanting to kill his young nephew

Every time theres a leak they change the story line!

Thats how we ended up with Rey having mysterious parentage. Simon Pegg who is a good friend of JJ said recently there was plans for a notable parent for Rey.


What else? Oh yeah!

Lets hope for more screen time for Rose.

I dont like her just because she is so out of place personality wise, and her name "Rose" is so unimaginative for Star Wars.

Luke and Ben you say? Why do you think he changed it to Kylo? lol

Luke is Luke, the everyday kid in the seat watching the movies.

I really enjoyed rogue one so maybe the spin off movies offer some hope for the franchise. All they had to do was nostalgia and pander to fans and I usually don't like that but instead we got episodes 7 too much pandering and episode 8 which throws all the major themes and build up from episode 7 I'm the trash.

I Dont like JJ Abram but he should have directed all three movies

I could forgive the force awakens for a copy and paste,,, sort of.
It needed to be introduced to a new generation.
Rey being a mary sue was a problem though.
It took luke 3 movies to defeat Vader and Rey picks up a sabre and beats a trained jedi..... ugh.
It could have been so much better.

I like rogue one too.
It felt like star wars with characters you could relate to.

I lost faith in Star Wars after Attack of the Clones. People were walking out of the theater.

The Last Jedi was horrendous and Mark Hamill couldn't save it. But oh well it's making money for Disney, right?

Actually I don't think it's making money.
Disney paid $4 billion for the franchise.

They are losing their butts on the last movie.
That and the toys are not selling.
Girls don't buy action figures.
Boys don't want girl action figures.

Augustus, I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home. They're not much bigger than two meters.

But I didn't use the Force when I did it. The trained group commander missed and crashed but in my first time in the same craft, and being highly unqualified to fly it, I magic-ed the shot.

Yup, the studio got around half of that.
Minus $250 million each to make the film's.
Minus $250 million each for advertising each.

They have probably only received $1billion total and they had to borrow the money with interest payments to purchase the franchise.

They are sweating bullets in the magic kingdom.

That's not counting any other income from the franchise.

I think financially they'll be fine since the expectation is that a new film will be rolled out yearly. This is a long term play, not an instant income one.
