I don't care if the Constitution forbids it. It needs to be done and he is doing it.

Maybe the 1st, 2nd and 4th, for starters, could be forgotten also. I bet many would love it.

Just quoted this in case you delete.

Thought the constitution was kind of important?

Only if you agree with it?

Mexican authorities responded to Trump’s Sunday threat to kill NAFTA by pledging to disband the caravan and allow some transmitters to apply for asylum in Mexico.

It appears the "Mexican authorities" have some common sense.
It also appears immigration has become a "national security" issue because of congresses inaction.

while I disagree with what he said, if we are being honest the 1st, 2nd, and 4th have been under assault for quite some time, more than a few on both sides of the aisle would cheer the official shredding of the bill of rights.

That seems to be the way it is viewed in the US currently.

Pfft, it’s just a piece of paper right?

Cmon, where’re ATS’s resident constitutionalists?

I don't trust Donald Trump any more than I trust illegal immigrants. Even if he does build this thing he's got ulterior motives. TPTB would never allow anyone they don't control in the WH. You can bet on that.

No kidding. A bit scary.

Or, to put it another way, Obama already did this and you didn't care.

Obama used Guard troops.

You'll notice that I said "federal troops" in the comment you're replying to.

So no, your strawman would be inaccurate. I would care very much, regardless of who sits behind the fancy desk.

It appears a self identified non government group intends to invade the usa as their published statements indicate.
POTUS as CIC has a job to defend our nation.

Just think of the panic that would ensue if Obama had talked about deploying federal troops internally (Jade Helm comes to mind).

But now it's a great idea.

Lulz

Isn't the key difference in who they are deployed against? That being US citizens vs illegals compromising our border.

Using federal troops to enforce law is using federal troops to enforce law.

The problem is.

There are any number of places they can cross.

My money is an off ramp close to California.

If it works as well as the levies they built around New Orleans, the US is in real trouble.

Using federal troops to stop an invasion is the CIC's job.

At least you're honest about being loyal to a person rather than a nation.

This seems so manufactured to get press coverage and hopes it produces an outcry after they are stopped at the border.

What does that say about the people supporting premeditation to break sovereign US law?
