The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office said in a news release it appears shots were fired between the occupants of two vehicles around 2:15 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 74 near Kings Mountain.

The article is quite short, and that's pretty much the summary. The men are all in in their mid-to-late twenties, nobody's dead, and the sheriff's department is calling it "stupid."

The three who stopped (one fled the scene) are not cooperating with police.

It sounds as if they know each other and it's either a grudge or road rage.

where I live this would just be considered normal

Nobody dead? Sounds like some out of control people. Maybe someone ripped someone off. I wonder if the cops will ever find out the reason for this? These kind of things happen sometimes, I knew a couple of people who got killed over the years from ripping people off. You hear about it once in a while, usually in the bars.

Wow, seems all the Democratic states have high gun violence, no wonder they want to take away guns. They should ban them in their own states since they seem to be having the most problems.

We got one dot here in the UP. The level of people loosing it up here is rising. I still think that there is something in the food here or in the meds people are taking that is causing this increase. Some people on these meds just give up and commit suicide. Some of the ones they are giving to people dampen their ability to think clearly too, they get delusional off of them. I can't wait till they figure out the genetic factor for prescribing meds, right now the doctors are just guessing pretty much if a person is going to be able to metabolize a med or break it down properly, dosing properly can be done much more accurately.

That map is fake news! I mean, places like California, New York and Washington have very strict gun laws and we all know bad guys would never just ignore the law.

I say let them shoot it out as long as no bystanders get hurt.

The government needs to set aside range areas on old military bases just so these nut cases can have there gun battles and the next day collect the bodies for the funerals.

Chicago has strict gun laws but you can drive 40 miles from the city and buy a gun.
