You're correct.

One of those only threatened to do it.

Yeah, the kid with the gun. Unless you can explain to all of us how one threatens to sleep with a porn star.

Yeah, I'm not trying to defend or make any excuses for him, btw.

Simply pointing out that it would be extremely naive to think he was just to stupid to consider the "present atmosphere" when he posted it... But rather, I'm sure he posted it knowing full well the effect it would have, given the "present atmosphere".

rather than going on about parental responsibility or music or whatever why is no one questioning why such a thing happened, why did this kid feel the need to threaten people and show off a gun even in the situation that surrounds this school?

makes me think this school has other issues that the teachers and administrators aren't trying to fix, like bullying or something worse possibly.

You are holding the actions of this kid against all young adults? That does not even make sense!

I keep a few different things in my safe but my guns are not in there oddly. I have no kids or a wife so it’s just me. My little sister that comes over tells me that I shouldn’t sleep with a crossbow and throwing knife next to me then I tell her that if someone came over unexpected then I got them. My guns (3 guns) are hidden in different parts of my house. Weird thought I just had was about the last time I chambered one. My neighbor got super drunk and fired one in the sky. I can’t begin to explain how mad I was. I wanted to beat his bum but he meant no harm even though what goes up must come down.

Despite student belief, stuff from English class will be used after school, such as posting on social media.

My guns are not locked in a safe. When my youngest was in high school he was a screw up. I kept our firearms disabled (bolts removed and stashed inside of cabinetry panels) excepting my own daily carry.

But we had a safe for meds and documents. He figured that combination out. Twice. I don't mean a cheap safe...im talking about an actual safe with a dial and 4 part combination.

Humans are clever little monkeys.

I learned to crack a $10,000 safe when I was 14, almost 15. Only non digital safe I ever worked on but took about 75 mins.

We have guns spread around the house. The town near me has had several episodes of violence lately, including some home invasions. Samby is a big, strong dog...but i ain't letting him go it alone.

I have maces/morningstars, axes, swords, knives, etc. We aren't wanting for armament in a home invasion.

A safe is only as good as the IQ of the person that owns it. My neighbor has a Barrett in his $13000 safe. He have me his roller combo a few months ago and didn’t realize he did so. I guess it just comes down to being tricking the owner in a way. Or just being a bad a## and breaking into it.

i was a good student but a complete social F up, doing copious amounts of drugs, sleeping with my gf's at 16 and being a general deviant. i guess that is just being young.

Kids know their parents very well, i was always able to guess combos(for the most part) with a little time and effort.

i was raised arounds guns and was shown how to shoot at 11 or 12 so guns were never a huge mystery to me and i went hunting as soon as i was able to do my hunter safety course, i saw first hand the damage guns do to living creatures.

i killed a squirrel and that was enough for me. i think if some of these kids had a similar experience they wouldn't think about pointing one at someone.

ETA:

my long rifles are locked up as well as the ammo, but my shotgun is in arms reach. i have no kids but if people come over i lock them all up.

If you want to get into a safe and don't mine damaging (destroying) it, then all you need is a good drill, some explosive (gunpowders work well) a plug/bung to seal the hole from the drill and 2 other easily accessible ingredients, and you can open most gun safes in about 30-90 mins with almost zero damage to guns and ammo on the inside. Paperwork will get trashed, but the rest will survive (unless you have no idea what you are doing). It's all about physics.

I used to keep mace but then one was so old it started leak due to a bad seal and kinda made my living room “snippy” lol

I had a very similar experience when I was young. The first time I killed something with a gun was a very odd feeling. My grandfather asked me how that fealt the night after and then told me the second time would be different. I didn’t like that hunting trip but I learned a lot. A few nights later we got a Buck and as the “story” went I got him. We all know that’s false because he had to place to kill shot. Still a good learning experience

It seems to me that you may have watched some Hollywood movies and have gotten that knowledge from there. Do you really believe that a safe can be broke into that easily? If you wanted to go that route than most of the time you would need 2 drills going at the same time. But even then there is like 10 other things you have to consider at the same exact time.

Now we will have to hear about this crap for the next week.

S&F for the report.

David Hogg is working behind the scenes to keep this gun issue going as long as he can.

He wasn't using an "assault rifle". He must not keep up with current events.

We are supposed to take kids this age seriously on gun control when their real concerns are clear back packs and Gucci sandals..

We have a President that's banging porn stars while his wife is pregnant. Yet that guy is running the country. .

You think Trump is the first President to bang someone other than his wife while in office?

You know you're just emphasising his point right, which was look at the role models kids have, it's no surprise they act out.

My weapon of choice at the top of the stairs is a half moon bladed axe, I figure people doing B&E in Oklahoma have heard gun fire before, but split the breastbone of the first guy up the stairs and kick him back down the stairs squalling and squirting blood I expect his friends will leave with a quickness.
