I tend to open multiple tabs for each topic when I browse new. One of these tabs redirected me to a red background white lettering website with audio warning me about viruses and to click the link to run a scan.

I understand why you guys don't want adblock on, but this is starting to get ridiculous.

If you are on mobile that is most likely from your provider. I see it all the time on my phone and extremely rarely on my laptop. It doesn't appear to be malware or a virus.

I've been getting redirected in the middle of reading a thread often for the last week to Amazon contests congratulating me and offering deals. it's annoying.

There are two or three sites that I don't even click on links to anymore because it's almost 100% of the time to see that on my phone.

I just figured ats was punishing me or something. oddly it's only started happening this week on my phone. the only other site it's happening on is new.com.au

I can concur, I get redirected to a Walmart gift card site. This is the first in my 10 yrs on this site.

I've seen it happen once to me on ATS. Usually it's other sites. Sometimes links from threads, other times from Facebook. I have Malwarebytes installed on my phone and it has never found anything, and I've run virus scanners and not found anything, so it's got to be injected through the mobile service.

Same here. Thousands are snookered every week. Many Eventually pay for the software to clean the nonexistant virus.

Happening to me too... only on ATS and can be in the middle of reading something without touching / clicking on anything. And always the Amazon or Walmart. I think it has something to do with remarketing and is impacted by the specific ads that are on the page we are viewing. Very bizarre.

Ridiculous? It's you... Not ATS.... Never have gotten any redirects, page covering ads or auto play view in 8 years on phone, pc, laptop or tablet. Using DESKTOP VERSION on mobile.

I know multiple open tabs and all that's on each can cause confusion though as you're stating.... Good luck.

PS your personal provider and settings

On my desktop, using both Chrome and Firefox.

I open multiple tabs for topics on new, and go through each one by one. I use malwarebytes, windows defender (which has become pretty good), and Ublock Origins, and I don't having a problem browsing the web. ATS is the one site I go to where I can;t have adblock on, which I understand, I'm just pointing out that its probably an ad doing it.

I haven't seen it on my laptop, but it's still almost certainly your provider injecting ads. I would say run scans to check, but my bet is on ad injections.

Came up clean, and my provider has made it a point to not be Comcast.

It could just as easily be a bad ad that slipped past the AdWords Specialists.
