So still no empirical data to prove Germ theory? That's what I thought! I mean if there is evidence, why can't you show me a single instance of a germ magically morphing into a disease??? And you say WE use faith!

I just don't understand people like that or why they hate science so much. So afraid of having their faith in germs questioned, they will never admit that there is no testable, repeatable evidence that those magical germs exist.

Exactly, and the fact that this thread was moved out of the O&C forum into the joke section is further evidence of the Pasteurist conspiracy. Obviously the admins and mods are in the pocket of Big Soap and are too afraid to realize the TRUTH!

Oh it’s very obvious to me now that the Admins and Mods as well as Raggedy are in the pocket of the antibacterial conglomerates who have infiltrated Congress, the White House, the Pentagon, the UN and all the way across the pond to over run Buckingham Palace with their false platitudes about killing 99.999% of all “germs”. I’m glad to see that not everyone has fallen for the ruse.

Also the reason why we get sick is not these so called viruses or bugs it is because we have been naughty to god and he makes us sick.
It is a sign of love.

I am not going to show you any Barcs, because you are welcome to believe what you want about germs, you are also welcome to continue denying science because you are scared of science, you are terrified of science, science is something that scares you

See, this has always been the argument
You deny science
Outside of that, mwhat you believe in no way effects me

I just never liked your capacity to deny science
Repetable
Observable
Testable

Don't get that, then please don't believe, it causes me no angst at all

No it is taking the Mickey out of folk like yourself.

But why, it's not my buisness what others choose to believe
That's the stupidity, Barcs is showing the hypocrisy of his own arrogance

Believe in germs or not, just don't tell me what empirical evidence proves when it hasn't

This is Barcs doing exactly what he does.
Turning the argument from empirical evidence
Ask yourself why?

And 99.999% is such an oddly specific number. I need them to show me the actual video of them putting 100,000 bacterium into a petrie dish and showing that 1 specific sole bacteria remaining after application of the disinfectant. I bet sometimes 2 might survive, and sometimes zero....

...so am I to believe such a specific value of 99.999%? I don't think so.

I'm well aware of that because empirical evidence for Germ theory does not exist!

All I'm asking for is empirical evidence. Why is this so hard? Typical pasteurist insults.

Believe in germs or not, just don't tell me what empirical evidence proves when it hasn't

Exactly, don't tell me what empirical evidence proves when you have provided none to support Pasteurism. If you wish to be a Pasteurist and believe in germs, that's fine with me. But if you have no evidence, it only further proves that it is just another religion.

That's awesome Barcs, you can believe that, more power to you
I have no issues, your opinion is valid to you

It's ok by me, don't sweat the little stuff

I have no intention proving or disproving anything

What you believe doesn't cause me any harm

I sure found some of the replies hilarious..

I'm convinced that some really don't take note of posting history in any way, shape, or form.

That said, I do believe the modern War on Germs (chuckle) may not be the best approach long-term. Like in many cases, the extreme and vocal tend to define the narrative of anyone who questions the state of things, but I feel the attempt to completely insulate large portions of the population from germs with everything from hand sanitizer to vaccines for everything imaginable may end up backfiring.

I think there is a balance there, between keeping the general population healthy and avoiding the situation of evolving germs and diseases vs immune systems that become dependent on external factors.

In other words, getting sick in some contexts may end up being more beneficial and effective than any other measure we might devise.

Guys, if you want to prove Germinism you need to prove all six types of Germinism. You have Stellar, Cosmic, Chemical, Organic, Micro, and Macro Germinism.

The existence of germs is reliant on every single one of those and if you can't prove them all, it shows that your claim is faith based.

The second law of Thermodynamics also disproves germs. How can germs cause disease with entropy constantly making things disordered?

What Zar, you don't think the whole thread was a troll, a narcissistic attack on people who don't believe what you want them to believe, to be just like all the other sheep and accept what all the other plebs believe
Surely you are not that ignorant

It's not for me to tell others what to believe, you can happily accept the flat earth theory if it floats your boat

I am just sick of you preachy atheists, all your door knocking evangelising crap, you are just as bad as the religious nutters

Take a look in the mirror
You are them, different church

Yeah like there are those who say they are not religios preaching their religion, so what

People have different beliefs and some people can't handle others beliefs
Believe what you want, just lose the arrogant controlling narcissism, it just as bad as those religious fundamentalists

How you can't understand that is beyond belief

Utter rubbish you are not happy that all science points to evolution thus you come into every evolution thread bleating nonsense.
If you did not care what people thought you wouldn't bother but seeing you think evolution disproves your religion you feel you have to attack it.
You have shown time and time again you can not even understand the basics of it bleating on about empirical evidence like a dummy.

Dummy? I think you are looking in a mirror not replying to me
Repetable observable and testable evidence is the foundation of science
Even a dummy knows that

And just as an aside, every dummy knows evolution does not prove my faith invalid, many Christians accept evolution

I think there are more than a few dumbys around here

Finaly, if others choose evolution, that's great, flat earth, no worries, multi verse, great.
I don't decide what others choose and I am not arrogant or stupid enough to think I can change their opinion
Even a dummy knows that

The point of this thread was to demonstrate how straw man arguments can be used to attack anything, regardless of how little (or much) you may know about the subject. They aren't valid arguments, especially against scientific theories. I used the exact same logic that Raggedty and plenty of others on this website use to attack evolution and everything I said was just as valid (meaning not valid at all).

And yes, it does actually bother me that this thread was moved to jokes. It's not a joke, it's a demonstration of poor logic. When creationists create threads using the same exact logic and bad arguments, they are left alone as if it's a valid opinion. If this thread goes to jokes, then those threads should be moved as well, just like flat earth threads are moved to skunk works.

Denial of evolution is exactly the same as denial of Germ theory. I turned Germ theory into the religion of Pasteurism, just like how creationist did with MES and Darwinism.

i thought we were talking about germs and how unscientific they are? it's not like you are actually refuting, disproving, or doing anything except whining right now. and that is all people ever do when it comes to stuff like germ theory. deflections all the way down.
