Any student will protest anything to get out of school.

This is all just nonsense.

How about instead why don't they stop bullying the oddball kids that end up being the deranged loner school shooters?

Because that doesn't make them feel important, wise, nor enriched (narcissism don't flow that way.) And a free day off...come on what kid doesn't love a snow day

Just watched a video with some students and he reminded the interviewer that they are all voting in 2020.
It's fine you all slagging the younger generation but don't forget they will be looking after us all one day.

It isn't about trust it is about the young and old getting together and start talking, If you want your guns taken away keep it up attempting to demonise the young they will not forget and they will use their voting power.
Or continue the hate you love to push after all it appears many of you just need a group to hate on this week it is the young of your country.....think about that for a while eh?.

If you do not want Violence in schools, then remove the violent kids from the school because leaving them in the school and taking the gun from a 40yo who lives 10 miles away will change nothing.

It was so sad to see so many children being used by the Men in Suits yesterday. These kids are going to soon learn their first Real World Lesson.... the minute your usefulness to them is finished... they will forget they ever met you. You will be discarded.
The discussion is supposed to be about school violence and the Men in Suits were able to hijack it and twist it into their agenda, Gun Control... and they are using our kids as a way to force agreement lest you be branded Uncaring about the safety of our kids. Same trick used to pass mileages .... that seem to only benefit the Men in Suits because the schools just get worse
99.9% of the violence in school is not gun related... You could melt every gun in the country down and the violence will be unchanged.
The same handful of kids in each school are creating the violence. Any attempt at making schools a safe place for all kids, that leaves the troublemakers in place to be able to prey on the weaker ones..... will fail.
It is time parents demanded to know who their kids are going to school with, what kind of trouble these kids have been in, how many times they have been in trouble and what the nature of the trouble is. Then the parents should decide 1, if they want their kids going to school with these hoodlums or 2, they want these hoodlums to be allowed to go to the same school as their kids.
Time to bring back reform schools so that kids can have 24/7 supervision, be monitored and treated for mental issues and when they are ready, brought back into the school system with the tools they need to succeed

it seems to me to be an ineffectual protest. What do they want? No more school shootings. Great, so would I. Taking away guns from law abiding citizens won't stop school shootings.
Organizing this protest is as effective in fixing the problem they perceive as walking around a track repetitively to raise funds for cure for cancer. Just cut a check and skip the track. This is more about the protesters 15 minutes. This is why I know liberals will never lead a revolution, their level of disorganization is staggering.
The same crap happened during the Occupy movement. How is a drum circle going to bring down big banks? A better plan would have been to go into banks and waste their time applying for loans for gerbil farms. If the banks kick em' out, sue the snot out of them over unfair lending practices.

I have a solution for the "bullying," dilemma.

Take a page out of the far-rights playbook. Call them "skinhead lesbians," make sure to refer to them as "crisis actors," and never forget to remind them that no shooting actually took place and they're all being paid by the deep state to push gun control narratives.

Only Trump supporters would blame victims of mass shootings for not being kind enough to their killer... lol.

Funny, you don't see the same people on the far-right talk about how terrorist attacks are caused because the terrorists are just bullied and need more hugs.

I suppose the NRA and Fox & Friends haven't invested their talking points yet.

Talked to my niece that is in the final stages of becoming a teacher, she laughed at this "protest" and echoed something I have seen a few different places. You really want to make a dent in school shootings, next time you (the students) think about picking on the quiet kids, or the poor kids, or the weird kids... don't, instead ask them how they are doing, or invite them to go hang out.

Only someone with their head in the partisan sand would believe that bullying someone until they break doesn't also make them a victim.
