A teenager was killed and at least two women were seriously hurt after a pair of explosions rocked homes in Austin on Monday -- just two weeks after a third blast which authorities said is linked to at least one of Monday's incidents. Austin Police said they received a call about the first explosion in a neighborhood on the northeast side of the city around 6:45 a.m., after the 17-year-old resident found a package on the front step, brought it inside, and opened it in the kitchen where it exploded. "It is very similar to the incident that occurred in Austin on March 2," Austin Police Chief Brian Manley told reporters.
There is no known motive at this time, but Manley said both blasts took place at homes of African-American residents so authorities "cannot rule out that hate crime is at the core of this."

From the Fox link provided in the OP.
I dunno, that seems kind of weird to me if its hate crime related. Must be a real nut job doing this. But then again, the world's full of them!

It's too early for authorities to be speculating on motive being race, if it's only because the first victims are black. They wouldn't be saying race if victims were white. Maybe they have other reasons, and i haven't heard the race of the 3rd victim yet.
edit..third victim is black also.

The 17 year old second victim lived on northeast side at the 4800 block of Oldfort Hill Dr. A woman in her 40s was also seriously injured. Probably the teen's mother.
3rd bombing victim in her 70s lived in the Montopolis neighborhood at 6700 block of Galindo St. southeast of downtown Austin.

Wow, a harmless old lady. Not to dismiss the other victims, but how f#ing depraved do you have to be to bomb an old lady?
