We found out a couple of weeks ago that my dear ole Mum has breast cancer, last Friday she had both nipples removed and had her lynth nodes checked to see if it has spread which we are waiting for the results.
They have said it is type three breast cancer but if it has spread it will be class 4 but the thing is my mum sat me down and said if it is as t stage 4 she wants to go to Switzerland to get put down.
She even asked if I would stick the needle in.....I did joke that I know that she would change her mind right at the last minute and I would have to call the orderlys in to hold her down.
Anyhow just needed to this off my chest my mum doesn't want anyone to know but no one knows me nor me mum on here so..
Cheers carry on.

If you can get her to Switzerland you can get her to Germany where rumor has it they may try using sodium bicarbonate directly on the tumors .... cancer is a mould and this method might destroy tumors quickly.

I have been fighting the good fight for over 5-6 years now.
You NEVER give up . And no way give in.....
Stop with the defeatist talk...now
Cancer can be beaten. The proof ? I am here typing this right now.
I just put my intense stubbornness to good use and decided I wasn't goin out like that.
I am not going to lie , it is tough as Hades on a person.
But you never give up. Keep the goal line in sight.
Peace to you and yours.

She told me she wants to see my brother again and is ready to die. A very stubborn woman she is and it appears she has made her mind up
.
I don't think I could actually put the needle in tbh but we have always had a pact that we would help each other if needed.
She is even saying she may refuse all treatment I hunk she has had enough.
It's just # all around.
I love me mum like nowt else I do not know what I will do.
I'm a mummies boy but I have to be she lost her other son and I have to let her mother me.

Sorry to hear that man.

Had family members with different types of cancer, so I know it can be hard.

If you ever need to talk, rant, whatever, just shoot me a PM.

I went through the same...

There is one piece of advice I wish I knew to tell my mother..

Now my mother’s was skin cancer, so I’m not sure if breast cancer is more agressive, but I think the point will remain true for most different kinds of cancer..

Assuming that it does spread to the lymph nodes and assuming it moves to the major organs.

There will come a surgery where they will try and go inside to remove tumors in a major organ.

If that surgery fails, it will speed up your mother’s passing by a year or 2 and COMPLETELY destroy any quality of life she has..

With my mother it had gone from her skin, to her lymph nodes, to her liver. They kept doing minor surgeries to remove the tumor(moles) on her skin, then her lymph nodes . all of those small surgeries are fine, because they are not too invasive, but when they found spots in her liver. They decided to do a surgery with 3 possible outcomes..

1) they could remove half her liver if all the tumors were on one side.

2) they could burn off up to 5 tumors, if they were on both sides of the liver.

3) of the tumors were on both sides and there were more than 5, them they couldn’t do anything . So they would just have to sew her up .

Well 3 happened and the cancer exploded imho due to the fact the body stops fighting the cancer to heal the surgery. So the cancer just runs wild.

If she hadn’t done the surgery , she would have lasted twice as long with 10 times the quality of life... and I don’t think the doctors were honest with her about the success rate or consequences of failure for the surgery.

I bet there was only a 20% chance the surgery was ever gonna work.

I’m sorry for your families distress.. it is a really hard road to walk.

Sorry to hear your bad news and distress.
Whatever the outcome and lets hope it is a very positive one. You should honour your mum's wishes.
Remember it is only those who are left behind that continue to suffer! Not those who RIP.

C'mon, really? Here hold her down, while I kill her.

Assisted suicide, maybe. Being there, sure. Become executioner?

No friggin way, Mom.

I know it has shocked me tbh but if she goes down that path I have to respect her wishes don't I?.
Let's just hope she doesn't get that far.

The hospice or whatever would never allow it, you aren't a qualified nurse, you aren't licensed for that, Insurance and all.

Too many things could go wrong if you miss the vein, poke thru, whatever.

Kind of weird for ma to wish that on her child anyway, don't you think?

Let it go for now. Others are correct, get results first.

The wait and uncertainty is the worst.

God gave us Doctors for occasions like this.

Things will not always seem so dark.

I'm not too good at consoling people with things like this so I'll just say that such a tragedy in anyone's life is sad to hear and I hope for the best for you and her.

Sorry to hear that , btw like that British sense of humour with might have to tell the orderlys to hold her down if she changed her mind
