Cory Baadsgaard (Wahluke High School shooting, 2001) – took a high powered rifle into his third-period English class at Wahluke High School in Mattawa, Washington, herding his classmates and teacher into a corner and holding them hostage for 45 minutes on April 10, 2001. Fortunately, no one was injured as the school’s principal was able to convince Baadsgaard to give up his gun. The 16-year-old had recently switched to the new antidepressant Effexor, amping up his dosage from 40 milligrams to 300. Baadsgaard, who insists he has no memory of the event, spent 14 months in a juvenile detention center where he wrote letters of apology to those involved claiming he never wished to hurt anyone.

As unpopular as this is I think it likely goes back to a fraudian sexual rejection..
We are sexual creatures , made to be sexual, and when every primal instinct someone has says to copulate, and none of your peers would ever touch you..
The rejection and frustration mounts and explodes..
I’m not saying the females that age owe males anything, just that it is what it is..

Think bigger. Why do these people go to schools to carry out their atrocities? Churches?
The term easy target comes to mind.

They were Americans, who found guns to carry out their plans, easier than I find a matching pair of socks in the morning.

Won't disagree but lets say we take away the easy targets. What's next? The pool thins while the risk rises greatly.
I'm fully aware that this is a cultural problem and that's where the discussion needs to be. However I'm pessimistic from the outcome of solutions given the current political climate.
