It absolutely has "versions," in everything from methods to achieve it to the end result.

To some, peace means something as extreme as the end to all competition. To others it means everyone in a society holding the same opinions on anyvand all topics. Yet, to some, it means "live and let live."

The conflation between the viewpoints is just as problematic. Nearly all will think they advocate for "live and let live," but will act in direct opposition to the claimed ethos.

Things aren't simple simply because we want them to be, or because we believe it to be so. That disregards the true diversity and extensive variety in our species. Its easy to think that what appears obvious to us individually must naturally be obvious to everyone, and if it isn't, its because those folks are "insert derogatory statement here." But, the reality is that the true diversity present in our race is genuinely and completely beyond any individuals comprehension.

The left has been programmed to essentially break from reality. Because this is happening en masse, the reinforcement of a large social group precludes anything else from happening.

Not all of us have succumbed, but plenty have. If anyone finds themselves agreeing with massive groups of people on every single topic, you might be more conditioned than you think.

I think the key to "peace," as I see it, is the ability to not only embrace the variety inherent in being human, rather than eradicate it under the guise of diversity. Once we can not only work with others that have a vast range of opinion, but work without constant conversion attempts towards an ever-advancing future, we will start to realize our potential as a species.

We only need to agree on a couple fundamentals: we are in this together and due to a total and distinct lack of omniscience, just because someone sees something differently, no matter how obvious it seems, doesn't mean they are "wrong." That very diversity is the only way to mitigate our limitations in any real, meaningful sense.

I disagree. Sure there are some on the left that just hate you, hate me, hate everything. But I consider myself an independent, I believe in the right to own guns for self defense. I teach self defense. But I don't like the NRA. I realize that an organization lobbying for gun rights isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the NRA comes across as insensitive and out of line. If we consider that the NRA really isn't about lobbying for our rights for guns as much as it is lobbying for the gun industry...meaning all they care about is selling guns. The NRA only cares about money.

Maybe we could come up with a different organization. One that is only focused on the right to bear arms and the constitution.

The left is antithetical to what America is about - the right of the individual. They place their value on group to the exclusion of the individual. If 1 person had to suffer that's ok in their book, something more important was done. This is the same thinking as Communist Russia or Nazi Germany - a few million had to die for the betterment of the rest of them.

The Constitution states that we are each a creation of the divine and as such given free will to choose. Free will, free thought, free speech. How much does the left support any of those ideals? Only when it suits their agenda but never in general principle for everyone at all times. To them there is always the exception and that is the problem, they believe rights are conditional.
